Got a 2017 Sx-f 250, has a fire power lightweight lithium battery. In the cold (not that cold, like 40 degrees F) i have to do a whole battery warmup procedure just to get the bike to turn over, dosent seem like anyone else has to do that, this is my second fire power battery. Should i try to just switch battery brands?? Anyone know a better brand?
You have the right model and cranking amps for the bike? Never had problem those or Yuasa
I mean it was the one that was recommended, just bought a offish brand battery off amazon with Double the cranking amps. Gonna have to do some cutting of the plastic to fit it though, hopefully it doesn’t blow up lol
GET WHAT YOU PAID FOR. WHO RECOMMENED IT? BEFORE YOU START CUTTING UP YOUR BIKE, TAKE READING OF BATTERY W VOLTAGE METER WHILE HITTING START BUTTON IF THE BATTERY DOESN'T FIT IN BIKE THAN PROBLY NOT RIGHT
I've had good results with Shorai batteries.

Probably not the battery. Check grounds. I believe that year the battery is grounded through the subframe. Corrosion builds up on the subframe bolts and creates a bad connection. You can also run a dedicated ground from the battery to the frame.
