Damn those pesky camera's.

Yeah, that was pretty blatant. I loved Decotis' reactions.

Yeah, he passed Decotis. However, don't know if that's how the race ended. Have to look.

However, was not the 250 moto 1 one of the best races you've ever seen!!!???

That was AWESOME!

Ah, just checked. Izzy made it up to 7th in the first moto, Decotis 11th. Looks like no penalty.

Yep, I'm just assuming he wasn't with my statement above given his placement in moto 1.

Don't know if he was penalized or not.

Once we look at the film tomorrow and see what happened here, then there could be a penalty and/or fine. We were not watching the TV screens at the time and missed what happened here, but Grant Langston was watching at home and sent over a note that we should check it out.

There will be a lot of thought and disucssion on the yellow markers here in the next week as we get ready for Southwick, Steel City and Pala. Obviously the current system needs some work, but we don't want to put wooden stakes and banners back up against the track, and we don't want to line both sides of the track with mesh fence. Better policing, better corner barriers and better placement are all needed.

Hay bales or Straw would do wonders in these areas, I have a feeling the racing would be even better if the riders were forced to stay within the boundaries.

The hay bales that we had to work with at Unadilla were not very good and they fell apart rigth away. We were chasing that all day long. That's why I went and stood in that far corner throughout the last moto....

Funny thing: the first three or four laps of the race, every time Andrew Short came around, he would hoop and holler at me - and he was leading the race!

That's awesome and something I would expect from a personality like Andrew.

Going right outside of the yellow markers is one thing, but i think i recall seeing izzi go inside a barrel or whatever is was. Looked like he couldn't make the corner underneath him. He really should've let decotis back by him and make another run. I don't understand what he was thinking staying in front of him.

There's no way he'll get away with the move. Even if it was accidental he should have relinquished the position he took. It sure seemed to screw with DeCotis' (SP?) head too.

Small 2ft mounds of dirt every 50ft where there are worries of track cutting. Place a Red plastic marker on them. If you cut the red marker -1 position

It's at 22:12 in the video of Moto 1. That was indisputably an act of cutting the track to gain a position. Izzi MUST be penalized for that.

It seems to me that it would be complete BS to penalize a rider several days after the event, I am all for replay and fair play but it needs to be done within like 30 minutes of the final moto.

Did anyone protest him cutting the track ?

8/16/2010 6:32pm
I'm sure decotis had to of protest. he flipped his shit after the pass. Taking is hand off, and over the next jump he was waving getting peoples attention. If nothing else i think he should be fined.

In 450 moto 1 I was standing on the inside of screw-U and when Shorty was lapping guys he was opting for the hoot and holler instead of the P-rev.
