Now that AMA Pro has changed mgmt that is one of the first things they should change for next yr!

Back to the topic, wtf would the 250F riders make the trek for no freaken points?

Because of two reasons

exposure and experiance. not to mention I think the rules on eligibility are relaxed for the canadian round.

Canada races are not AMA races, but are CMRA races under the FIM banner

CMC is the most respected and well known, but CMRA is the Canadian FIM Charter

(I think it's called CMRA...damn alphabet soups)

Hasn't the AMA in a previous yr. had a round that counted towards just 250/SX class only and no lites/125's....
Like Chicago in '90s when JMG was still racing? Just ran big class, no support class or one that didn't count point wise..

Yes

I don't know how it all plays out but the sanctioning is combined for all the rounds.

I think the issue with the Lites is they will have Local Support races when they go Over Sea's because LN plans to assist with Travel expenses for the 450 Class.

CMRC (Canadian Motosports Racing Club) is the main MX sanctioning body in Canada, including the Nationals and National Arenacross series. The CMA (Canadian Motorcycle Assn.) is the FIM affiliate and is in control of the Toronto SX. Unfortunately, the CMA has virtually nothing to do with mx during the rest of the year. They fell out of favor many years ago when the CMRC came on the scene with more modern practices and forward thinking. They also refuse to give up the FIM affiliation.

Alphabet soup, good one. Been lost in that a time or too myself.

CMA is also responsible for our MXdN efforts, since it is the official FIM affiliate. They do a decent job with what they've got, but what they've got is damn next to zero. Heck, some of us here toured around the pits of a local race here a couple years ago with a MXdN donations coffee can. That's the kind of fuel our national team has needed the past few years. That and T-shirt sales. Kinda sad really. Blackfoot made a huge difference in the pits at Budds, but they stepped up because the race was so close.

Politics, politics..... :?

This round is the reason it is a combined ama/fim world supercross championship. Just like they took credit for the sucess of the buds creek mxon I am sure it will be a sold out stadium and every possible rider will attend. Youthstreem is the shit. Just ask them they will tell you. The DMG should make sure if the fim wants one round of mx1/2 on us soil it is the same fim/ama world mx title. There is nothing "world" in the sx series. Drop that shit already. The best racers move to the us and race in the us. It is only a USA title. Nothing more. If not then lets add a intercontinetial chamion title like the wwe. lmfao.
