I'm trying to find some Cycle News East issues from 1983 to check some old race results from the tracks I raced that year. I kept a good diary from '80'-early '83 but I quit before the GNC at Lake Whitney for some reason. High school graduation, girls, fast cars and other distractions, I don't know for sure why I quit my ususal Sunday night recount of the days races. I subscribed to the archives site last month, but it only covers West editions, so that was no help. If anyone has some info I'd appreciate the help. BRaaapp!

Well, I just checked my stash in the basement and I have 1981 and 1982 CN-E editions. I thought I had a bunch more but they may still be at my dad's house.  If you don't find another source, I will check when I go there in the future (a month or two).

I keep hoping Cycle News will put them online, but that hasn't happened yet for the East editions.

I received a reply from them last week informing me that "previous owners" had spent lots of time and money archiving the West editions and I should not expect them to invest in doing the same for the East editions. I wish this had been noted before I subscribed, but it's still good reading about the good ole days, racing in the early '80s! Single shocks, water cooling, lllloooonngg travel suspension, everything was happening really fast back then and I was loving it!

I had nearly all of Cycle News East 1983 but unfortunately cleaned house last year and pitched most of them.  I still have Number 32: August 24, 1983, Number 33: August 31, 1983, and a partial November 23, 1983.
