I can’t believe people are falling for the same scam twice. Actually, I can believe it.

No line up announced other than former NFL player turned rapper Antonio Brown. WooHoo!

Oh, one small hurdle may be that the island in Mexico has no idea what the promoter is talking about since no permits have been issued for this festival.

What's the back story on this Fyre festival?

Fyre Festival was a fraudulent luxury music festival organized by American businessman Billy McFarland and American rapper Ja Rule. It was originally created to promote the company's Fyre app for booking music talent.
 
 
The organizers did not take into account the logistical challenges of hosting an event on a remote island, and they failed to provide basic necessities such as water and sanitation facilities. There was also a lack of communication between the organizers and the vendors, which led to a shortage of supplies and staff.
 
A group of 277 attenders of Fyre festival were in 2021 awarded settlement payouts of $7,220 each. But after being released last year, McFarland began planning a second incarnation of Fyre festival, which he said he devised during a stint in solitary confinement.22 Aug 2023

Just finished watching the Fyre documentary. That Billy dude should have been put away for 20 yrs and not 7. Piece of shit con artist.

First and foremost, this guy is a world-class turd who should still be in prison as he’s clearly a career scammer.


That said…a ton of those people who bought tickets and went to the first one deserved it in my opinion. They were attention whores going for no other reason than to brag about being there. The irony of paying gobs of money not for your genuine interest, but for bragging rights and likes/clicks, only to arrive and realize you’ve been had, was poetic justice.

Ah yes Fyre Fest....that was a great documentary. What an absolute Shit Show. Dude should've got Life in Prison, No parole. BUT ALSO, glad those idiot rich kids got screwed over. There was a million red flags and they still paid insane money for tickets.
