Im currently restoring a 79 CR250 Honda and want to keep the original forks. I don't want to change out the forks. As I recall  back in the day there was a mod you could do to the damper rod. i think you drilled a 1/16 hole 1in up from the existing hole. This was a MXA tech tip. I'm wondering if anyone has knowledge of any other mods to these forks to improve them besides stiffer springs and air caps? RaceTech does not have gold valves for these..

I have a pair of air caps on CR forks from a bike parted out.

Check YSS, they may have emulators for your forks

Have not done the Honda Model specifically, but I would suggest a call to Noleens. Clark supports the vintage community very well.
