Those P.C. bikes would put that 350 to shame any day, and twice on Saturday. Wink

I love these threads . Mike gets his ass handed to him and then the 1-800-NUT-HUGS come up with a million excuses why he lost .

I think that the "Alessi against the world" way of living has finally wore Mike down. No matter how mentally tough one is, everyone has a breaking point.

I think Mike would be battling for the title if he had more friends and wasn't such the villian. His dad really created something when Mike was a kid that hasn't been forgotten and those wounds must run deep. Just listen to the way guys like Grant and Villopoto still talk about Alessi.

Years of being the butt of jokes and people wanting to see you fail would finally wear any guy down.

Do you have any more info on that? Angry diesel mechanic has made this case for weeks now (at least underpowered) and now you claim the bike is also a piece of shit on top of that?

Without hanging someone out, could try to convince me what the hell you guys are talking about? I can only judge the freshness of the plastics on the telly...

Great post. This is a hard enough sport under the best circumstances, when you go out there and put a big target on your back and get guys to line up with the idea, "I don't care where I finish, as long as it's in front of Alessi", you're making it much harder.

Mike is riding hard, got bad starts and is not on pace with the lead group.

Let's see, what's different in the equation from dominating last year prior to an injury to today?

He's about 4 years past moving away from the family team, and getting into a factory team management style. Just my opinion..

That's been a key for past success. Look to Larrocco for an example. Seems Dungey is getting along fine at the Suzuki rig with Roger too. Mom and Dad are around, but not running the show.

I bet next year he is either on the 450 next year, or Tony bails out of the contract.

What has happened to Alessi since Hangtown is the better question...
7/19/2010 8:05am
He's not getting holeshots. That's the problem. I have never seen Alessi come from 20th to top 5 in a moto. Ever.

So you are saying that if an alessi post is up here at Vital and they don't read it....the post doesn't make a noise?

I'm confused, I thought that was a tree thing.

Give the guy a break. I watched Fuel last night' Inside the Outdoor Moto-X" There were some clips inside the the Allessi camp and it made me sick to my stomach. There is a fine line between being a coach, a motivator and a dad. I cant figure out if Tony is a prick at heart or just for the camera. Either way I would think Mike has to be tired of this program and doesnt appear to be having much fun. Just my .02 cents
