This shot of JG should explain it all.

Oh, and this kink is a VERY fast section headed into turn three at Millville. I love how laid over he is. The stake? Not so much.

Those yellow track markers are really lame. I remember the first year at Lakewood all the riders were running them over at the start of the downhill sweeper. There were about 5 or 6 missing by the end of practice. With all the banners what is the point?

Good action shot none the less.

Bitchin shot minus the yellow crap. The section is really fast and it gets chop like no other yet they keep it pinned.

But you should try shooting from the standpoint of the average fan, some idiot waving in front of you, someone next to you bumping into you and spilling his beer on your camera, then trying to shoot over the head of said pro photographers and the yellow stakes! haha

Gotcha. The problem is, it goes over a section of his arm, and that would be hard to fill...and probably not worth the effort.

At the GP's we also have the green fencing to deal with. Can be really annoying.

Haha.. very true. I think you can get away with a cable, but the stakes are just annoying. Seems like they draw your attention away from the photo. I had a problem with some at Hangtown and I was shooting from the fence. I really don't see that big of a use for them. The riders just blow through them anyways.

Just get closer to the track and lean in. The bikes don't hit you that hard when they miss the turn.

I wasn't trying to compare the two. Emig's was more of a corner, this was a kink in a straightaway, and an interesting direction change...while still being pretty flat.

I hate track markers so bad. They always ruin a good shot and trying to shoot around them sucks as well.

Photoshopping the markers works, but it's always nice to not even have it in the shot.

Anyone remove one that came loose and was in your shot?
