A friend to a lot of us, just recently lost his job. Tom is one hell of a guy and a good rider to boot.. He's humble and doesn't want to ask for money, so I'm doing it for him..
Any amount of money that you could donate to this man and his family will be greatly appreciated, doesn't matter if it's ten bucks of fifty...
Lets raise some money for this man so he can keep on riding and paying bills... He'll need a bit of cash for maintenance on the bike, as he rides an expensive four stroke..
I'll post a link to my paypal account in a minute and will make sure he gets all your donations...
Thanks guys! You're the best...
Help out Horndog, he needs it!!

someone loses their job - others should just 'kick in', so they don't have to give up a little bit of their hobbies/extra expenses (that are NOT neccessary)?
No fucking way. Asking for money just so he can 'keep racing' is fucking ridiculous. I mean probably some of the stupidest shit I've ever read on these forums (and there've been some doozies).
Like the rest of the REAL world, when someone loses their job, it's time to put their family first, relax on their 'for fun' hobbies and their 'wants', and focus on their 'needs'.
If that means he goes without riding? Boo fucking hoo. Cry me a river dickface, it's the real world - not "hand me money so I don't have to change a fucking thing" world.
Now pony up with some cash, we know you old pros are loaded.
Your request is bullshit
If a rider needs help because they're injured, understandable
If a rider needs some help to make it to a National or SX to try and "make it," that's understandable (within reason)
If a rider is down on his luck and needs help, that's understandable
But to expect people to kick money to a guy who's unemployed, not to help pay his mortgage or to put food on the table, but to help him ride?
Dude, is it me, or are those some really fucked up priorities?
Ask anyone, I have kicked money to people, given away tons of product and things for fund raisers and done far more than my share, and I am happy to do it....but this?
His bike needs to be put away, not ridden.
Is it safe to assume he has no insurance since he's no longer employed and so in need of funds? Then he shouldn't be riding.
You can't look for a job with a broken leg, he shouldn't be riding
Call me a dick if you want, but this is some fucked up priorities
Maybe GUYB can make this a sticky!

Hope this helps.
