I would like to know if anyone else has a problem with the video player Alli sports is using for the 1st moto coverage of the nationals. I have ADSL 2, the fastest connection I can get here but it buffers, stops and starts, and you cant just pause it and come back in 5 minutes, it starts from where you left off but buffers again 5 seconds later. It sucks.
Oh just remembered I have utorrent running on the other PC downloading some TV shows. It would have slowed it down a touch when I ran the test
Click on the speedtest pic and show us your results I'm curious.
I have no problem with either Alli or Freecaster.

That is an impressive download speed, I get around half of that but my upload is a little better!
Sometimes it's not about your connection or their server but all the hops between the two of you.
The video is choppy for me too. The audio is fine. I think it might be my video card or something from my cheapo PC because youtube videos in 720p do the same thing.
On a side note, am I not the only one who thinks that Alli's quality has tanked since last year? Last year it was HD like.
Wow my numbers came up way lower than some others. The live webcast works good for me however. It is not HD video but it is not choppy like others have problems with. There must be computer/hardware issues that contribute to that for some.
On the replays there is definatley a drop in quality this year. Last year I could set the player to high quality and let it load for a while before watching. This year the quality does not adjust and like others mentioned you can not let it load and get any better.
And the preshows look much better when they upload them to youtube than they do on the alli website player.
Some of those speeds make me jealous..
I know I dont have a fast download speed but my point is that you cant just let it buffer and pause the video for 5 minutes or so like you can with you tube or vimeo or any other video player I have ever seen on the net. You pause it and when you start back up it might run for 10 seconds and then buffers again. useless piece of crap!
Pit Row
For For me the Alli video is terrible. It's like a fast photo slide show that lags farther and farther behind the audio. Even archived videos are bad.
When it does work it streams ok.....................
I heard Americans were pretty slow~~
