Horner is saying its between Yuki and Lawson for the red bull seat. I would go with Yuki and give him a year but he better deliver, I would keep Lawson on the RB2 team to work out the mistakes and such for a season and then look at it all again for 2026. Both  Albon and Gasly were thrown in to quickly and then both lost their seat so my choice would be Yuki who has a lot more F1 races under his belt than Lawson. And I would get rid of Marko (which won't happen) and kick Jos Verstappen out of the garage.

IMO, if Tsunoda doesn't get promoted, it's a slap in the face.

I think he is by far the most improved driver over the last couple years.

Ferrari has agreed to supply Cadillac with engines and gearboxes in a multi-year deal.

I do miss Yuki's swearing outbursts when he was on the track 🤣 something about about a 5 foot tall asian guy cussing up a storm with his accent just made me laugh. They finally showed him his lap times and on the laps he had outbursts he was clearly slower, but it was fun while it lasted. 😎

I just read a French article that said Red Bull had a senior management meeting in Austria yesterday, and a decision was made to not retain Perez for next year.

They've also made the decision to promote Liam Lawson to replace him, and F2 runner-up, Isack Hadjar will replace Lawson.

I see/saw yuki as a fighter.

Not sure about Lawson.

Whoever sits in that car is expected to be a hardcore, constructor's points gathering wingman, sticking close to Verstappen's ass as possible.

Don't see that being Lawson.

The rules are changing in 2026, so I'm not sure why they wouldn't give it to Tsunoda for the final year and see what he can do in the Red Bull car.

He's put in the time, has calmed down, and has improved. Seems to me like he's deserving of the opportunity. He's done just about everything they asked of him.

At this point, can he be any worse than Perez?

How much $$ is Lawson bringing in? A couple of years ago RB had Yuki in the car partly due to Honda's "blessing". Just thinking out loud over here ...

Not that surprised Red Bull picked Lawson over Yuki which sucks for Yuki he deserved it. They see Lawson as moldable and he can learn under Max.

More likely he will be more compliant than Yuki and not kick off when he's given a car entirely designed for Max that's almost undriveable to anyone else, while still being closer to the front than Perez. Red Bull are not going to put someone in the sister car who Max wouldn't approve of, ironically Yuki's mentality and strengths are probably why they won't promote him (although I hope the leaks are wrong, obviously).

You would think Redbull would have learned their lesson with Albon and Gasly , neither was ready and both failed and lost their seats, see the same thing coming with Lawson.

Talked to David at the VSCDA race at Road America and mentioned you knuckleheads and clagg. Motor problems for me made talking to him a bright spot on the weekend.
