Houston area is not a bad call, good population and I think 3 tracks (3 Palms, Splendora, Rio Bravo)? I would get in touch with Zoom here on Vital as he is very knowledgeable about the area. I thought 3 Palms was pretty expensive, but that is an assumption on my part. I'm also thinking about "affordable" land, which makes Austin area tough. But regardless, best of luck and keep us posted!

I would absolutely love to be In Houston would make my drive to work easy I know 3 palms is for sale as well so we will see what happens when someone buys it but I’m kinda leaning more down south around Houston within a hour if possible all depends on where land is available

This thread is useless. A guy post a thread he wants to build a track in the biggest state on the map.

I mean wtf does he expect 50 responses from anywhere in the state ? Hell  build across the street from where I live in Euless TX,.

Not exactly I’m able to live anywhere in texas for work as I just fly to my job anyways so instead of limiting myself to one area of possibly I say all of texas because let’s be real it will end up being around a big city of some sort within a hour to 3 hours so I’m not limiting myself to only people from the town riding it most people who go to tracks to ride actually statistically live in suburbs with no land

there have been plenty of people that have come on here with plans to build a track, and they all seem to have all the answers.

never remember any coming in later and talking about living the dream.

meanwhile every time another one comes in with big plans all the current and former track owners just shake their heads, because the dreamers are always asking the wrong damn questions.

oh, but you are going to "drop 20-30k on the tracks alone".

all the current and former track owners shake their heads again.

it is not even worth typing up the same stuff again.

do a little searching here and you will find lots of sound, experienced  advice.

read it.

absorb it.

believe it.

good luck

I’ve been doing research on it I’ve talked to many track owners and gotten to see the different ways people run it work on it this isn’t just some dream thing and I don’t expect to make money if I’m being completely honest I’m building a badass track for my kids to learn and practice on and always have somewhere to ride and I’m doing so going to open it up to the public so everyone can have some new dirt to explore but I understand what your saying this isn’t a oh I’m interested in doing this I’ve been planning this out for a couple years all I needed to figure out is where to do it exactly as stuff has changed since I’ve been in the military but it seems like I’m leaning more towards Houston was looking at land last night there was a nice piece near college station I was looking at but still looking for the correct spot I got time!
