Great race except Nicky getting smoked...bummer. Is EI popular in road racing?

Not as much as I'd like, obviously
Water Wetter is the standard, mostly by tradition

Watched it LIVE earlier, great racing, won't spoil it for you folks.

The roadies are pretty picky about slippery coolant on the track, it's why water wetter is one of the few accepted water additives. Perhaps EI is good like that too, don't know never tried it?

Yes he is, but the new kids, Lorenzo, Dovi and DeAngelis are going to be fun to watch.

Gonna be a good year. Can you believe Rossi ending up off the podium?

He's still classy though, went up to shake Casey's hand.

Stoner was moving really well on that Ducati. Lorenzo looked real good. I think he will get better as the series goes on. Rossi will figure out the bike issues and be up there soon. Good race.

It seems as if Nicky is really having issues with the smaller engine. I thought he was getting the GP style of tracks down well...I wonder why Pedrosa seems to get all the new parts/chassis before nicky?

Love how Stoner held back for awhile before making his move and showing all his cards. That kid is going to be the GOAT of modern road racing.

Nicky seems to be the "B" rider on that squad. He's on last years bike. He won't even have the new one until the 3rd race, Pedrosa has all the latest.

Nicky had the option of running the 08 stuff and had been testing it all winter but the non factory guys who were running the 07 bike were faster than nicky so he decided to switch to the 07 bik on friday night!

Meanwhile Pedrosa podiums on the new bike. Doesn't look good for Nicky this season. Too bad. I am very surprised with Melandri's result on the other factory Ducati. Kind of the same scenario we are seeing between Nicky & Pedrosa.

(missed this)

Ei isn't an additive
Legality is determined by the ability to clean it up, not slipperiness
At 150+ MPH, even water is slippery.
Ei is legal in most road racing sanctions including AMA, CCS and ASRA
