You arguing a statement with a question?

And on the internet?

Overtrained is an excuse because you can't measure it. Arbitrary.

Overtraining is real. The human body can only be pushed so far before it has to recover, and if it isn't allowed the time, performance levels drop. This varies from person to person.

Your statement is stupid.

Dungey overtrained just as much as they did.

He just didn't use it as an excuse.
So now you're saying overtraining is real ...?

I'm confused

Some people don't know there is a such thing as overtraining because all they do all day is sit behind a computer and write dumb comments on message boards

Shit, that reminds me, I've gotta go hit the gym - it shuts at 5:00pm today. A bit of bike, a few weights but definitely no overtraining. I'm too old for that. Don't bounce like I used to.

He just didn't use it as an excuse.
No, Dungey used the " I've been too busy, after SX, to get dialed in" excuse after Hangtown.

The top guys almost always let you know what's bugging them when they don't win.
RC often bitched about lappers, the track being one lined, even posted pictures of injuries.
After moto 1, Budds Creek goggle problem, RC complained, " It's always something" like he was always having bad luck. Same race, Ferry said, "I think I could have caught Chad, but I had a bit of an upset stomach"

If it's your guy, it's a reason, if you don't like the guy, it's an excuse.

Let me guess, knowitall, you're a big Reed fan, right?Wink

RC went 24-0 before injured ankle photos showed up. Smile

It is all about getting adequate recovery. If the body doesn't have time to recover, then overtraining or over reaching is the result.

Overtraining is real. You know it when gains stop and you aren't recovered for the next workout.

Not many, in this sport has a physique good enough to prove they ever trained enough to even be close to overtraining.
