Good morning and thanks for reading the CREO recap from the first weekend of racing of GT Arenacross in Enid, Oklahoma.

I’m happy with the way the weekend went, with a lot of positives toward building steam. The course had extremely spongy dirt that oddly didn’t rut, but mushed around and absorbed a lot of forward momentum. I feel the 300’s played well into the conditions and our Hoosier tire choice served for the best available traction delivery.

Friday, I made it into the mains direct from the heat after Anton spilled in front of me. He went on to win the LCQ, and I lined up with 9th gate pick in the mains. We battled for every position, and I finished the night out via 11-12 for 11th and Anton 6-8 for 7th. Both of us hit the ground pretty hard in the mains, collecting a few bruises to work through on Saturday.

During the second night on Saturday Anton achieved 5th in timed qualifying, and I struggled to grip with a sprained right thumb resulting in 12th. In our heats, Anton started and finished 4th smoothly. I too started 4th in my heat, passed for 3rd with contact before the whoops that pushed in my rear caliper, unbeknownst to me, and I went flying over the tuff blocks in the next corner while unable to stop. My heat was ruined, and onto the LCQ with a second row start I went. Unable to make enough passes, I would not transfer to the mains but would race the B main and come home in 5th. Anton took a consistent 6-6 in the mains, and we’re happy with that.

We throttle into the second weekend holding P14 for me and Anton P5 in championship points.

On the way home Sunday, we dropped the 67 motorcycle at B’s Moto Lab to refine Anton’s suspension. Trey and team in the WP Authorized Center are going to stiffen up the motorcycle to account for softer conditions than what we practice on, this is a huge advantage in our corner to be able to work so closely with our suspension department.
This coming weekend in Claremore, Oklahoma is our feature weekend for Bolt Motorcycle Hardware. Bolt has been a part of the team since day 1, and we love getting to fly the flag so proudly for the number one name in fasteners. Check out their inventory and offerings online and at your local dealer.
