Hello, Piston change coming up for my 2024 FC350.

Right now i can get a good deal on a Pro-X pistonkit.

Anyone tried that? I heard some negatives but is that just rumors?

I can get a Wiseco for about 60dollares  more but as far as i know Wiseco owns Pro-x so it will basic be the same piston i guess.

OEM is almost twice the price.

OEM is make by CP hence the price. Your getting a billet piston going the OEM route vs the forged of the Pro-X and Wiseco.

If it were me id stick with what it came with for that reason but cost is a driving factor for most people.

OEM is a billet piston made by CP? This is the first im hearing of this and im willing to bet its BS based on the fact you used the term "billet piston". Whats your source?

Andy Jefferson from KTM openly states it as well as Chad from XPR and Jamie from Twisted. Listen to Andy's interview on Pulp show 602 as well as many engine talk podcasts with the other two sources.

Is there any way to tell which batch of 300 pistons were hitting the crank, is it still necessary to take 2mm off the skirt? (looking at picking up a nos 23)
