"hammerhead" posted this on ronrons.

I own a bike shop in Southern Louisiana,D&G Cycles in Gonzales,La. I work on alot of dirtbikes and today a guy dropped off a 2004 CR250 (2-stroke) and when I told him he was going to have to leave it overnight he was real Nervous, The bike has Red plastic, Pro Circuit "Works" pipe and Shorty Sil.It has nice Graphics and PrePrinted Back grounds with the #316 on them...What made me think it's stolen was that it had "TOO TECH" suspension stickers on it and they are located in Calif.....The last 4 numbers of the vin are,3339...If yall know of the bike please contact me at 225-571-0990 or 225-647-RACE....Thanks, Hammerhead @ D&G Cycles / hammerheadmods.com

I dont understand. Most people on the east coast now have ups, fed ex or even usps. My bike is in tn and it has enzo stickers on it. Truthfully my bikes suspension has been more times to Cali in the last 2 yrs than I have. Nice to look out an try and catch a crook, but probably a little over the top. PS, always post atleast the last 6 digits.

He said the guy was acting nervous. That would make me suspicious too. I think he is doing a good thing by trying to get the word out. If it is not stolen then so be it. At least someone is trying to help.

I get nervous to leaving my bike somewhere else overnight also. Have u ever read the disclaimers if ur bike is stolen. Etc. I to said good for him if he catches a crook. Honestly though if his gut said it was stolen
He should not have taken it in. Or atleast call the cops and run the vin.

If the owner was a HRCA member and reported it to Honda it will be on their computor system. We found a stolen Crotch rocket that way once.

Screw you guys for coming down on this guy for trying to do a good thing.

Thanks for taking the time to try and help someone out.

Stolen shit sucks, and thieves suck worse; if this is one - I'm glad he'll be getting caught because someone has the balls to not let the wool cover their eyes.

Thanks again, if it was my bike I'd sure be happy someone was trying to help out.

They should make a citizens arrest and waterboard him in the shop until he confesses. Nervousness is always proof of guilt. I bet this guy has warehouses full of stolen bikes...he's probably looking to get them all fixed at a shop.

Jesus...are you guys for real or just like granny bingo queens? The guy who owns the shop JUST needs to call in the VIN# . Good way to get your shop name out there though.
