Hi,

Just wondering what peeps here who have 4 eyes wear for goggles?

I use the trusty Scott 87 OTG - thanks Scott!

But what's new?

I leave my glasses in the truck and apologize to everyone I run into after the moto is over. Makes for a convenient excuse for my blatant line changes in the corners during my front to rear fade.

I didn't like them. They were really well made and all of that, I'm sure they are the answer for some riders but I just could not get comfortable using them.

I let a friend try some Dragon Vendettas over his glasses (He has glasses that aren't too big or wide kind alike reading glasses)...

They worked.

i used to wear something similar to the picture above, but have found contacts much better, just put them in in the morning and away you go. They also help in a mud race as you can take your goggles off if needed.

I ran Oakley L frames for years and finally got fed up yanking a whole stack of tear offs off with the cheesy tear off adapters they come with. Now I use the latest and greatest Oakley Crowbars and take a dremel tool to them to make my glasses fit and I get to use tear offs that are post mounted through the lens.

The Scott 87 has none of those issues...it's just boring compared to what is available today...

My son runs the Smith Fuel and Intake series goggles with an insert from Sport RX that fits into both frames.

Plenty of lense variations, tear-off/roll-off, style and color options to choose from and the inserts just pop in and out of the goggles.

I'll be honest, we tested these types of lens in goggle units when I was at Motocross dot com and I just could not get used to them. I think they are prolly incredible for some riders but I was not one of them.

I like the big goofy goggles over the fragile expensive glasses solution!! LOL

I always make sure to buy flexible glasses frames that can be pretty much bent into oblivion, and frames that somewhat wrap around your face (this keeps them from touching the goggle lens) and have earpieces that are close to your melon so they are not too wide to get out of the goggle and do not get tweaked when they are pinched between the helmet and head.

+1! I can't say enough positive about my Pro-Vue set up.

I have been using Pro-Vue's for about 5 years now and other than a bit of maintenance required to keep them clear, I really like them more than using my glasses and OTG goggles. They are a really good product for those of us that can't get clear vision out of contact lenses.

However I do agree with the above that the Scott's are not flashy, but they work really well with glasses. I thought their kind of bigger size did better at not wiggling too much around the helmet opening. As long as I kept the goggles on tight, they worked pretty well. The Oakley's were kind of small for my glasses and did not work as well. Thats the only two I tried.

I use Scoot 87's, the Dragon's fit good too if you have smaller glasses.

I have horrible vision, I have never tried pro-vue, but if I ever had to take my goggles off what am I going to do then, I am damn near blind so the minute I took my glasses off I would have to put the goggles on.

I am in the process of trying some different contacts but not having much luck with having as good of vision.

Could maybe get Scott87's and then take a strap off a cooler looking pair and rig on them, LOL.

Scott really should update the old 87's a little bit.

I am very near sighted without my glasses so I understand your challenge Motomike.

I always park my bike right next to the trailer. I turn my cap (always a bright color) upside down and put my glasses in them and set them on the trailer right next to the bike. That way, then I come back to the pits, I hop off the bike and my glasses are right there on the trailer so I can esily find them after I take my goggles and helmet off. So using the Pro-Vue has never been a problem with me. Just wanted to pass that along.

Yeah that was one of my issues...finding my glasses without the goggles!

I am like Mr. Magoo without my glasses.
