Hey guys! For the 4th year in a row I was able to grab the gold medal!
It wasn't very easy. Mike Schultz is getting stronger and faster while Todd Thompson is new and proved to be a contender as well. My good friend Jim Wazny is a nut when it comes to jumping and he made all of us 'man up' on Baja's huge hits! Some of the other guys like, Beau Meier, came out of nowhere and raised the level of competition as well. Unfortunately, Jason Woods had an off day and couldn't back up his bronze medal from last year.
Eventhough I got hurt the week before (ribs, shoulder, and hip), I'm not sure how much it slowed me down once the adrenaline started flowing. Personally I hope so, but I'm not going to take anything away from Mike Schultz beating me in the second moto. I didn't have to beat him for the overall win because I accidentally took him out in the first moto. It was unfortunate for Mike as I think he really had his shit together this year. There aren't any hard feelings as we are good friends.
On top of everything else, it was AWESOME hanging out with Doug Henry all day!
Anyway, thanks for reading this and if any of you are in the market for buying stuff, you can't go wrong with the companies that support me and the other Adaptive Athletes.
