JLaw was paid a million dollar contract way before he won his title.. At least that's what I read. Either way I was referring to them when they first became pro's.. You must be completely clueless if you don't think I know Jlaw won a title.. Although a regional sx championship isn't really considered a title. If it was Windham wouldn't be called the fastest guy to never win a title.
you even admit that you do not know that it is fact or what he got and just made a guess. Zach and Jason had similar backgrounds coming out of the AM's. Highly touted young guns that received very good rides. Jason won a title as a pro and Zach did not. That has allowed Jason to extend his career in the US because he proved himself and there will always be someone out there that thinks he may be able to do it again. Zach did not have the same success and has had to go to the GP's to find his groove. Not to mention, Jasons manager had strong ties to many with deep pockets and since those relationships went south, it hasnt been the same for Jason.

It was a very bad comparison to bring Jason into this discussion IMHO. Zach looked great Sunday and I hope he can find that next gear and run with Musquin the rest of the year. I would love to see him eventually win a GP title. He seems like a very genuine, nice kid.

Jason is the shit boy of America now, Zach is a GP rider...Jason countn`t buy that with a million dollar salary. but could earn it with a step up to the core of the sport attitude and ride the GP`s and earn some respect that is lacking in the AMA. The AMA has become the soft under belly and commercial success of true MX, you make money in the AMA but loose prestige as a true rider, you become soft and financially secure, is that a reward?

I was very impressed.

His Speed was good, he didn't follow to much and his fitness was excellent.

He was off pace from Musquin a bit but so was everyone else.

I think Zach has some more podiums and possible wins in the tank.

Good job Zach and congrats on the $5K top American prize.
Yep Zach was on it--good job!

People Of Planet Earth :

Hear me now and listen to me later - here's this kid from Virginia, USA,

carrying the flag - at home and abroad, doing good things without a lot of

pimp, pomp and circumstance - and, quietly, impressing his fans worldwide

with his results, his demeanor and his solid character.

And, he's a good, fun, friendly kid with a great sense of humor and an

incredible ability on a motorcycle.

Get off your sticky vinyl chairs in mom's kitchen and put your hands together.

This is a kid we true motocross fans can love and cheer for.

He won't disappoint you. Word.

Zach is a perfect example of why the age limit should stay at 18.

He got a factory ride because he beat Dungey in the school boy class at LL's and won the FIM Jr world cup and lots of other amatuer titles. He wasn't quite ready and as OEM's do they cut him loose and moved on.

OEM's have only their best interest in mind. Thus, why SOMEBODY should protect the riders.

I don't know why there aren't 4 or 5 more American riders in Europe that have similar stories to Zach.

And JLaw never got paid a million dollars for anything.

I totally agree about the age limit remaining 18, I was thinking the same thing as a read all these comments.

Congrats Zach, us Americans are definitely cheering you on!
