Hey there! Usually spend winters in NE Arkansas around Searcy/Bald Knob area. Looking to ride tracks through the winter if possible. Anyone have any recommendations of places nearby? Been looking through and finding some but hard to find info. White River 870 and River Ridge look promising. Hoping to get some more info.
Thanks!
Your best bet is Central Arkansas, including Deer Creek, MX, Pine Bluff, MX, and Diamond State, a new training/moto facility.
I’d also add Wolf Bayou MX. Its not far from you, in the Heber Springs/Batesville area. Kyler owns that track, and is the organizer of the Arkansas state series.
Thanks for the response back! I just found Deer Creek last night and place looks awesome! Not terribly far away and open through winter it seems.
I’ll scope out the rest and appreciate the info!
Never heard of Wolf Bayou MX so thanks for that! Place looks like good fun! And nearby enough which is freaking awesome. Is that a place regularly rideable through the winter?
I’ve been trying to dig through Instagrams and Facebooks for these places and most have the occasional clip or pic from mid winter but no info ever about it. Getting stoked and hoping to ride regularly a couple times a week through the winter!

I’m trying to determine why anyone would spend winters in NE Arkansas! 😂 AR has awesome folks and some great hunting/fishing—-but it gets cold (but then, I’m a beach guy, so…). 🤙
Haha it’s for the duck hunting!
I would suggest the tracks listed above and add 870 white river Mx. It’s just outside of Batesville and a cool track with some sand and alongside the White river.
Thank you! That’s the one that will be closest and hoping possible to ride all winter! Looks way fun and coming from where I’m at now, I freaking love a good sand track!
Since you mentioned loving sand, check out OTT park. Google maps will take you to it, free place to ride thanks to a grant. Unload at the pavilion and follow the dirt road down to a hidden sand track. The rest of the place sees a lot of rednecks on side by sides, but pretty much everyone from AR who raced Loretta’s this year (or the last decade for that matter) has spun quite a few laps out there. Best part is, you’re 6 minutes from downtown Little Rock if you want to go eat when you’re done.
Ah, I get it. World class hunting of all kinds in AR—-and exceptional fishing.
What’s up Lee? I’m glad you posted that map because Nick and I walked down that road looking for that track but didn’t go far enough. We want to pound some laps out there. Hope all is well!
Does 870 open through the winter? Haven’t been able to track down any info on that and even reached out to the page itself.
Headed AR bound any day now and hoping to find places I can ride consistently(couple times a week) through the winter.
Will definitely check that spot out as that sounds way rad! Appreciate the info on that!
