I expected Jett to be just as fast or faster than when he left. He's not your typical racer. It's obviously important to you that Jett wins and Chase loses though.

Chase made incredible strides in the outdoors, but these tracks are completely different. Hunter Lawrence and AP were consistently in the top 3 outdoors, but they were 5th and 7th resoectively in Q2.

I do think if Chase loses, it will play with his confidence, but any reasonable person expected Jett to be up front, and like I said, it will cone down to starts on this track since the top guys will be close in speed.

I never doubted Jetts speed, but the experts in here sure had other things in mind.

I have said a couple of times that i don’t belive that chase got that much faster this summer, that the missing part that made him look faster were that the fastest rider were not there and here we are again, Jett comes back and is right at the top again.

And yes, i would like to see Jett win before Chase since Jetts riding is the most perfect thing on a bike so far.

Based on that one of them are back record fast from that kind of injury, and the other is talked about as the new Alpha, you would think that Sexton would be 1 second faster. Not equally fast or slower.

And in q2 we start to see glimpses of the old Chase again.

This is a supercross track without the whoops, qualifying results look pretty much like they did back in the SX season.

Yeah I don't buy into this Chase got faster thing aswell. He was exactly how we expected him to be when Jett was out, another level above everyone else. Those two guys pushed 40-60 second gaps on third last year and at Pala this year, Chase probably didn't even need to go 90% of his speed to beat everyone else since Jett was out. I legit try to understand how he would reach that "next level" without his only real competition being out there?

With all that said.. I think Jett and Chase will be very close speed wise today, at least if we look at qualifying. But I wonder if Jett can put the 20 minutes in yet with Chase behind him. Really curious who gets it tonight and if Chase feels the crash from Q2.

The only riders i belive got faster this summer of the top riders were Hunter and AP that closed in on Sextons speed.

Sexton on the other hand rode about as fast as he did the season before, gained consistency when Jett got hurt and could beat the other guys at a comfortable speed, BUT still got beat a couple of motos that he not should have been if he had gotten THAT much faster.

And when he had to push at bud’s creek he started to do his regular misstakes again, and in q2 now when he tried to go for p1.

So i would not be surprised at all to see him go back to old habits again if Jett stays healthy.

And i were a Sexton guy before Jett moved up, but between the two of them my pick for a rider is easy.

3 things on the 450’s …

1. J.Coop the modern day Tim Ferry ?

2. I expected Sexton to have a bigger gap on the rest of the field in timing considering his outdoor season and momentum. Especially with how comfortable and confident he said he was feeling.

3. For Jett to come back and settle straight into the top 3 should worry the rest of the class.

Why do people take qualifying so seriously? Remember when Webb would qualify 7th every week and then proceeded to stop on everyone come race time?
