Laughed my ass off at that. My mom was a sweetie....but man, if I did something that deserved a good smack, she would dole it out. Honestly, I think that's a big problem with kids who were not disciplined appropriately these days. Not condoning beating your kid, but a proper soft "tune up" does wonders. I wouldn't change a thing about that era....not one thing.
