KTM brass has some decisions to make this week.
That's what I was thinking too. I think with all things considered it would serve KTM better if Mikey doesn't line up for it. 1st off KTM has a US title to contend for with w/Mikey. Last thing they need is their only US guy getting hurt racing a GP. It also won't do there GP titles any favors if Mikey takes points away from Nagl and Cairoli.

I know they want everyone in America to see how bad ass the 350 is but I think Mikey is going to do that all year long in the Nationals and Cairoli will handle the GP market for them. KTM could very well win 3 of the 4 biggest mx titles this year. Mx1 and mx2 in the GPs and the 450 title here in the states.

All in all I say there's nothing to gain by having Mikey race it and a bunch to lose.

Yeah but I don't really hold that against him. When he races he goes so hard for the win that it's probably in his best interest to preserve his body now that he is financially stable for the future. He said he will race anywhere from 2-5 Nationals this year once he heals up so that should be pretty cool.

How the hell did a thread about Cairolli end up all about Stewart??

He isn't currently racing GPs OR outdoors in the US.

Has Cairolli's name even appeared on this page?? (certainly not going back to read through all that shit to see if it did)

I fully expect Cairoli to ride one of his patented inspired races and get it done.

He's that kind of rider and he's wanting to prove something. I can't wait.

Wrong, GH is RV's house...

Alessi typically has done ok there for about 20 minutes each moto, then gets put in the corner...

depends on the start. If Alessi starts first and can get a little room, he could easily win. If he doesn't start first he will not. he has been that way forever. And was that way this weekend.

Is there going to be TV coverage in the US, or would we have to use paycaster?

This is Alessi's best chance to beat Cairoli.....ever. I don't think either of them will holeshot against Nagl and I think Cairoli can move through the pack a bit better. I just hope Mike comes out of the race healthy.

Damn all this Stewart talk !!!! He's not the fastest.....Everts and RC are !!!

Get some facts straight:

Stewart went 24-0 in 2008....his biggest challenge that year came from Cody Cooper !!! It wasn't exactly a good year for depth now was it ?

He finished 9th overall in his last MX race

So why is he the fastest again ?.......

I think the real questio is if Cairoli tears Mickey a new ass at Glen Helen, is the Alessi camp going to dump on KTM and say Cairoli is given better equiptment?

You can debate about people who currently race MX or would be if they were not injured, or you can have a debate about people who currently race MX and include people who used to race MX. J. Sloan, you're choosing the latter. Fine. But if you're going to count James, why not RC? He handed James his ass when they last raced against each other.

Neither of them race MX anymore. Maybe it would take James 3-4 races to win again. Wouldn't take RC much longer than that, but they're both done.

Whether James could get back on a MX bike and win a national matters about as much as whether RC could, or for that matter, if Albertyn or Henry or Emig or McGrath or LaRocco or Kiedrowski or Stanton or Bayle or Ward or Johnson or Bailey or Hansen or Howerton or Hannah or DiStefano or Jones could.

I hope KTM just says the hell with it - we're a racing company and we're sending our racers to Glen Helen to put as many KTMs on the podium as we can.

Don't you pay attention to the sports world? Is Brett Favre retired? The word "retirement" has no meaning. That being said, I would be very surprised if RC ever competed in a MX or SX again. But not because he's "retired". Cause he's done everything he ever wanted to do and more.

So what's the difference between choosing not to ride and retiring? Not a damn thing, either way you're not on the track. Or did RC sign a lifetime MX ban that I don't know about?

As far as James racing nationals, I'll believe it when I see it.

i believe he is hurt, but unlike you, I would not profess to know or to make comments as to his train of thought, desires or interest unless I heard it directly from him...

Huckster you really cannot answer simple questions.

" seriously, are you that slow ? "

What kind of an answer is that ? All it requires is yes or no. So try again or are you that slow ?

I think MA will holeshot by a mile as usual and AC will be buried in the pack off the start as usual. For that reason alone Im gonna say MA for win. I think AC will need to be a lot quicker than MA to beat him if he gets his usual starts, not just a little bit. Thats unlikeley on a US track, still who knows, big hills maybe Nagl on the 450 is the dark horse.
