Early/mid Eighties RM250 Cylinder Question

Whymee

I always thought that cylinders from a 82 thru 85 RM250 are the exact same cylinders (other than color) and are interchangeable.

Someone take me to school!

There may have been porting changes, but otherwise cylinders 11210-14301, 11210-14302, 11210-14303 and 11210-14600 were the same.

There is a new cylinder for sale on ebay...

The heads changed the 82 offered the best top end, while the 83-85 offered the best low to mid. Im pretty sure the 85 had a longer rod but appears all used the same cylinder…
