If everything continues to go smoothly I’ll be picking up a ‘24 Yz 250x at the dealer tomorrow. I am looking to see if anyone has any jetting info for high elevations. I live in Northern Arizona at 5,700ft and most of my riding will be between that and 8,000ft. The dealer wasn’t too sure which jets would work best so I’m hoping someone on here can help.

Thanks in advance!

On my 21 YZ250X I installed a Lectron. Sea level to 6000 ft and no change. If you need to make a change have the needle tool in your waist bag, pop the slide and make a 1/4 to ?? turn and you're good again. I have that carb on my 134, 125X and my shifter kart and not very often do I need to make any changes😀

I would highly recommend getting an APEX head for the bike. They run so much better with the proper squish band. Stock head is way off. With the squish corrected this jetting chart is pretty spot on.

The bike is going to be rich at 6k. standard main is around 180, drop to 170 or leaner and drop needle at least a clip to get running well. you're just gonna have to deal with getting fat at higher elevation. if you're going higher expect to work on it on the trail
