2024 Paris Olympics

Here's a photo I snapped of the beach on the Antibes hike a few weeks ago...

The beach is rocky so it's not the ideal laying around beach but for someone who spends most of their time in the water, I absolutely love it.

I do! It looks like an amazing trip.

Edit: Also those steps in what I have to imagine that weather is like looks brutal. Clearly rewarding but, damn. How is the temp? I've only ever been to the Gorges du Verdon area in the off season.

If you end up at Wall Street you can get the sando on bread or a wrap; they're both amazing but I prefer the wrap.

For the hike, if you're walking to the start of it, cut over the mountain vs walking along the water; not only is it a lot shorter but you get to see some really really cool houses (plus the hike is along the water so you're not missing anything by skipping the water side walk to get there). And bring lots of water. It's a super easy hike but there is basically no shade.

I tried watching the opening ceremonies two different times today, only lasted a few minutes before I had to turn it off.

It had a lot of cool ideas. The whole aassassin's creed thing with the guy running around was cool and a lot of cool elements but man i turned it off after the awesome performance by Gojira. The whole overly gay tranny ect shit put me off even wanting to watch the Olympics a little bit.  

Ive come across numerous videos on instagram of the athletes complaining about sleeping on cardboard beds and no AC. Athleyes getting robbed ,vehicles broken in to.

Seriously?    What a bunch of bullshit.   The world should not be satisfied by this type of response.  How does a major worldwide televised event not have some kind of oversight committee that should have shut this shit down before it ever made a stage.

Exactly, LGBTQ and religion shit has nothing to do with the Olympics. So why was is highlighted so much, and why is Christianity being mocked? 

I’ve never spoken out on political shit until recently, it’s become an obvious coordinated effort to move further and further away from religion and morality. I grew up in a non-religious house in the SF Bay Area. We didn’t think twice about gay/trans kids in school, was pretty common and they were just another kid at school. It’s been very confusing to see why this has been pushed so hard.  

The “loser” comment is honestly hilarious. Go find the folks who support this agenda and see how they are contributing to the world. Most are the outcasts of society that want to see it all go up in the flames. The people who are raising families and thinking long term for future generations are absolutely sick of it. 

I’ve been on this forum for like 11 years, I made my first post in the non-moto section after the Trump assasination attempt and this has been my second. I’ve stayed out of these conversations for years, while taking in information being very careful of the sources and not taking sides. I was very moderate and didn’t feel either party represented my beliefs. Now I feel you have to pick a side, and I’m very confident that one side is much better for the long term health of our country and world.
