23 ktm 350 qs issue

Edited Date/Time 7/19/2024 10:59am

Hi there recently bought a 2023 ktm 350 sxf with 7 hrs on.When you flick the starter to prime it all the lights on the left hand side light up on the mapping switch, map1, map2, tc, qs. When the bike is ticking over & the qs button is pressed the light fails  to light up. Havent ridden it yet so don't know if its working  or stuck in qs mode or not. Any ideas what the issue could be. Cleaned the connector behind number board but was clean as a a whistle also

I believe you have to hold the button for like 3 seconds or something...?

Got it sorted. You have to press the qs button for at least 10secs until it flashes. Then pull clutch in, engage 1st gear & hold shift lever down until qs light flashes. Lesson learned there i must always read the mannual.

I don’t have to do any of that to get my QS to work. I just press the button. Maybe yours needed to be calibrated.

ETA: I also have ‘23 SX-F 350 btw

I like mine but I haven't had much to compare it to.  All I've ever had was old junk bikes.  This is my first new bike and I'm in my 40s.  I do love how the power sets between the 250 and 450.  So you can lug it more than a 250 but it doesn't feel like it wants to rip your arm off like a 450.  I did struggle with finding comfort in the air fork and ended up going to the 6500 kit which is awesome.
