Thumpertalk.com has really done a great job moderating its forums and keeping the riffraff away. Great moto community helping this kid out over there!
I don't have a problem with people asking for help with stuff, like giving him a Leatt as his post implies, it's a free country and people can ask for or give whatever they want. Many times I have just given stuff to people I feel deserve it. But in this case I think he needs to earn it, or his parents need to pay. There's a lesson in there somewhere about having dodged a bullet, and he or they need to feel the cost of what it takes to prepare and protect yourself.
Has anyone offered MX safety lessons? He wasn't the only one to leave that day on a stretcher. At some point mini-parents in general are going to have to take this sport seriously

Man you are asking a lot there Tiddler. Mini Parents are now and have always been the bain of our sport. Not ALL mini parents but a disproportionate amount. I think we get all of the ones that are kicked out of little league sports.
