How much static ( no rider ) sag should there be with the 6500 carts on a sx300 2024?
How are you guys setting the sag on these forks ?

Have they been revalved? They come valved for a 350/450 and that won't be right for a two stroke.

This says it will be ok for 2 stroke !?

A 125 and 450 are going to have very different settings, I’m not quite sure how they go about that. I use the correct springs and run 0-2mm of preload

Im using the correct springs and the preload from the manual ( btw the 2 stroke preload setting is different to the 4 stroke preload setting )

but I’m surprised nobody is able to say how you check the sag correctly on these forks .

So you have the "out of the box" cartridges as they come delivered from WP?  Not re-valved by a tuner, correct?

When I got mine from JBI, he said back the preload nut all the way out, then go in 1-click.   That is your "zero setting".  All those settings above are then measured from there.  He then had me just 2-clicks (1 turn) in from there.  Keep in mind preload is also affected by the preload washers installed internally.  I have since gone another 2 clicks in from that and also swapped the forks from my original FC350 to my MC300 2-stroke !   They work excellent on both bikes.

Don't overthink the preload.   Pick a setting from above to start and don't be afraid to alter from there to get the front/rear balance and attitude right.  It's another nice adjustment to have to use in conjunction with rear preload, rear HSC, and fork height to adjust the chassis.

Yes standard valving . Was just looking for a way to check the sag.
I also ran same carts in fc350 👍
