Well…

Looks like it was a ruling based on the government’s selection process…a process that seems to have been outside the legal and lawful process including senatorial confirmation.

Oh, well.

Oh, well.

This should also fuck up the DC case as well. If the judge does the same thing, it's gone, if not, 2 different opinions makes it go to the appeals court, again dead as it can't happen before Trump becomes president. Could the Attorney General appoint a legit prosecutor? And continue the case? Yes, but again, timing sucks for him and both trials are all but dead.

Just had the funniest thought. Could Trump order the DOJ to prosecute Jackie Smith for impersonating a government official? LOLOL

No need.

This guy's finished.

He'll be off in the middle of nowhere selling used cars a year from now.

Probable at "honest Alvin's used cars".

Both a forgotten footnote in the lawfare saga.

Yeah, it was wrong that someone was basically pulled in off the streets to prosecute a case in federal court that nobody else had any interest in.

Oh…so…you’re saying that you actually give a shit about The Appointments Clause of The Constitution?

You do realize that no one seems to give a flying fuck about the law…and they certainly don’t appear to care for the Constitution…and most folks seem to not even be able to do anything that resembles “research” nor do they have any form of “curiosity” when it comes to just sitting on their fat asses and accepting whatever the Narrative Creators spew.

Hence, as I’ve learned…here in California where “The Fools have created their own Folly”…

Poeple get the government they deserve.

I’m jus’ sayin’…

I have a great old friend who moved out of state a few years back and isn't on fakebook, so to stay in touch i'm "friends" with his leftist wife, but damn the way she posts crap it's such challenge I've unfollowed her (but haven't unfriended altogether). She's been oddly quiet this week which is shocking considering they live in Florida close to the latest dismissal!  Wink

The "something wrong" you are feeling is the way you are looking at things. Sounds like it's time for you to open your eyes, ears, and brain.

Something is wrong with why US intelligence agencies have so much power and operate with near impunity.

Something is wrong with why our US government has embraced censorship and disinformation.

Something is wrong with why the mass media has served as a propaganda machine for certain ideas.

Something is wrong with why our children are being taught to hate this country.

Like every generation you believe the older folk have antiquated ideas. That the new generation is so much more enlightened (woke). But what you'll find out as you age is there are what's called unintended consequences to everything. You having lived a much shorter life and look through a very focused lense while age gives you skepticism to look at what else a change will cause. Sometimes what sounds like a great change for good with good intentions can have catastrophic negative effects.

Thank you for the lesson. I am young compared to many who I communicate with on here.

Maybe you could share how some of your past beliefs/views (everything) had unintended consequences? Maybe that would help me see that what you are saying is true.

Dude, as a California multi-generational native with a child in CA’s  public school system…as I see where you’re at…where you’re coming from…

I’m gonna have to say the following…

And with a daughter that’s spent 2 years at OCSA and then wanted out…due to EXTREME WOKENESS-INSANITY…and this is a mixed-race Afro-centric athletic kid that’s doing pretty damn well in life…and…was way ahead of the curve…thus, was accepted at OCSA…yet, after 2 years of wokeness…SHE sat us down and made it clear…she wanted out. Now she’s at a “normal high school” (her words).

Even at this “normal school”…

My wife and I have “stayed very well informed” of our daughter’s school life…from some of the ridiculousness during the panickdemic to suffering the N-bombs from other students that thought they’re cool and the school did not do Fuck All about it until my wife got involved and then they got REAL WOKE…to watching her (our daughter) realize that some of her teachers just aren’t right in the head and some are simply amazing.

Reading what you’re throwing down, I’m stoked that we’ve made the decision to let people that think and write like you…and that are teaching our daughter…some of whom she’s pointed out to us are nuts and some are awesome…well…

You’re gonna get to keep it all.

When she graduates, where gonna keep only the beach house and become residents of somewhere-else and let you and yours and alllllllll your “Everything’s Fine in California” enlightened types…

It’s all yours.

Keep blowing off all the people saying things have gone…are going…too far left. Watch us take our companies and our wealth and leave…

Yup. We’re gonna leave it all to you…and your Utopia of open borders, unbelievable fentanyl expansion, insane energy policies, unprecedented taxes and fees, urban homelessness & continual “soviet state” mentality and all the rest.

It’s all yours.

“Congratulations!”

I think it's great that we communicate. When we don't talk all is lost. The key to talking is, in addition to talking that we also listen. Yes, the new generation has good ideas too, however the resistance comes in that the new generation (happens every generation) they want change ASAP and we (old guys) want to ease into change. Largely because we've seen many catastrophic failures with change and we don't want to jump right in. But with your age you should remember this one. Congress wanted the banks to loan money to people for houses that typically didn't qualify. They said it wasn't fair to lower income people that would never be able to buy a house. Sounds like pretty good intentions right? Well between that little change (sarcasm meter should be going off) and people that realized they could take massive advantage of it. that lead to the housing bubble burst 2007(ish?). People could not afford the payments (big surprise) and lost everything. So could we have slightly modified the loan process vs throw out all qualifications and destroy the economy? Unintended consequences.
