It was definitely interesting. Going to lead me down at least a half dozen rabbit holes reading about some of the things he said. 

I’d never actually heard of him so did a quick search of what people have said about his views and the worst thing that seems to be complained about is that his timelines for things might not be completely accurate. 

He said a few things that I don’t necessarily agree with, but he also said them in a rational enough manner that it makes me want to reinvestigate my stance.

And the stuff that ends up being close to his predictions are common sense and stated by so many others already. He just repeats the same cycle. Take what he says with a grain of salt. The guy has been predicting the demise of China for 20 years.

There are a lot of people who are critical of Zeihan especially in the world of finance because he discounts certain strategies that they like. Crypto for example. That made many enemies for him. Also he is politically independent which pisses just about everybody off.

His prognosis for China is based on demographics which don't lie. Unless you don't believe the data coming from Beijing. 

I would like to see the prediction from 20 years ago that you cite. Gotta link?
