Hi Guys, anyone using the Clickers MX App? it converts clicks into percentages, which helps understand the settings you have in your suspension. For example, instead of talking about 15 clicks out, the app tells you that your fork is at 60% of its compression force, or rebound speed, whatever it is.
Best of all, it takes you back to your base settings when you need them, and tells you the number of clicks/quarters of a turn and the direction (clockwise/counterclockwise) to go back to them. Easy as pie.
It also allows you to check the balance between the front and the rear suspension.
It is pretty basic but defenitely a solid foundation for a better understanding of how to find your best settings. And it is free. Save seconds a lap without spending a buck.
Make it so I can compare shimstacks and i will download it asap.
Hello Larry,
You can download it already, Google Play and App Store. Clickers MX.
Also you can visit their website clickersapp.com
Ineresting for sure, just downloaded the app and it locked up at area (said no search parameters available) would not let me go to NEXT.
When using clickers. Does it adjust for the fact the lsc adjusters have a diminishing affect as they turn out each click? Last 5-10 clicks do squat, first clicks each one massive difference etc?

Sounds like a great solution to a problem that doesn't exist.
Hi Tim,
that is weird. What smartphone model do you have?
Michael Lindsay, Chase Cook, Kris Keefer, etc. do think that people is afraid of messing with suspension settings. So I take that as a real problem, and a serious one. If we get the motocross community to start talking and thinking suspension, we will minimize the risk of riding and racing with the wrong settings. Of course, from a competitive point of view, you may think that setting up your suspension is super-easy and that everybody knows how to do it - but hoping that they don't so they don't beat you at the track
.
every suspension setting makes your bike react in a certain way which directly affects your riding. If your front feels harsh, you can check your compression force in the app and move from there. A basic example would be the forks having a 37% COMP, then you can assume that you are bottoming out. No need to have a notebook where you wrote down sometime ago that you are 14 clicks out of a total of 22. Makes sense?
Comparing shimstacks is a previous stage where you are aiming for the right setup. When you have your setup ready, then it is time to make use of all its capabilities finding the best settings for each track condition. You wouldn't change shimstacks from Moto 1 to Moto 2, would you? but would defenitely change settings, just like Aaron Plessinger did last weekend at Red Bud earining the runner-up spot. Amazing what the right settings can do for you!
Free App?
Yep, for sure!
Where did Mike Lindsay say he thinks people are afraid of messing with suspension?
Since you're comparing to factory riders, yes they could easily change shim stacks between motos.
Couldn't you just turn your adjustment in the whole way to find where your current setting is? No need to write anything down.
"Of course, from a competitive point of view, you may think that setting up your suspension is super-easy and that everybody knows how to do it - but hoping that they don't so they don't beat you at the track"
The manufacturers offer a service manual that literally tells everybody how to do it, it's much more in depth than what you're offering and is specific to the bike. Usually they can be found for free online.
I doubt any rider would go to the starting gate blindfolded man, amateur, novice or pro. Long testing sessions come first.
So you're app eliminates the need to test suspension settings? Please elaborate on that.
Your choice man, good luck to you.
Pit Row
Does regular position mean stock setting? Isn't that usually towards the middle of the range?
Revalving is a previous stage where you are aiming for the desired setup, according to the rider's preferences and needs, just like springrate changes.
When you have your setup ready, then it is time to make use of all its capabilities finding the best settings for each track condition. Surely you agree that after having the suspension done you still need to adjust the suspension?
I don't know man
I just use the Clickers MX App - simple and easy!
ANNOUNCEMENT: July 9th 2024
(Vital MX) Due to the constant hardship motocross riders face in determining tire pressure, my app....I mean this app I found, will allow you to find the absolute best tire pressure as seen by factory riders over the weekend. Endorsed by Cookout media, Michelle Livsay, and Kriss Kefir, this app will tell you percentage increase in tire pressure with no need to write anything down! It is a free app and eliminates the need to test tire pressure because it will calculate percentage changes for you! Now you can be just like Aaron Plessinger and change your tire pressure between motos. It does not account for different tires' properties, but I promise that's coming! Temperature, no but it's coming! Ride weight, no but it's coming! I Swear to god it's coming, literally I'm coming! Oh you have a mousse in the rear? Well still download so you can see the percent change from 12 to 12.5 psi, it's 4.1666667%, isn't that cool and scientific because of how long the decimal was carried?

Ok, let's picture it:
Say you have a rebound with a 36-clicks range. You are 24 clicks out, whatever the heck does mean to many (the app translates this difficult language). You would have to turn the adjuster clockwise to find out that you are 24 clicks out, then go all the way counter-clockwise to find out you have a 36-clicks range. Then go figure what the heck that setting means or is making the bike react like. Then you would have to go back to the 24 clicks out- position, does everybody know how? because if you get lost, you're screwed. You would be wasting time when you should be out riding to your full potential, with the right settings.
I have a Samsung Galaxy and it works fine. You can also use a google or a facebook account. In the area, you have to type down your location, for instance Colorado, and then choose from the options.
that is so cool that you made an app to help riders find the right tire pressure. Is it free like, for instance, Clickers MX App? Hard to believe there are stills some good people trying to help out in a sport where everything is so expensive. Yes, not having the right tire pressure will ruin the best suspension setup and put the rider's life in jeopardy. Thanks again, man!
It is Kris Keefer actually who says that his youtube clips.
Lindsay has a youtube video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s5MoyYGBp0s where he says that "Honestly, the best thing to do is keep very solid notes. Because the worst thing that can happen is, if you try a lot of different settings and it just flat out gets worse, just go back to your base seetings".
That is exactly what the app does:
1. It prevents you from getting lost throughout testing.
2. It tells you how to go back to your base settings.
All simple and easy. A 5 year old can do it.
Does it make you feel cool to be a dick? The guy makes a FREE app to help people and all you can do is criticize?
That's cool man. I knew this would happen from the get-go.
I just needed one person to write the words you did, and that's happened already thanks to you.
Hopefully more and more riders will realize the importance of suspension in motocross!
Let's use this forum to talk suspension!
I attempted to type into the box, no cigar as the error message opened. Perhaps a user error
I'll try again this afternoon.
