never heard of it down here in MD, sounds like fun. Looks like only 2 guys from jersey went up there last year.

If memory serves me correct, the first one was at Jolly Roger in NH in 2001 and we attended...it was sick! Some dudes in a school bus parked next to us and played Sex Pistols until about 4 AM until some dude lost it and went on the bus and smashed the stereo.

They also had a huge fire and it got ashes all over Den's new van, which someone used to write "c*nt" on the hood. He was pissed!

I have photographed racing at Southwick but never ridden the track so I guess this year is the time...

Here is what we were riding that day, I had a '96 YZ 125 and my buddy was on a (I think 1989) KDX 220...his number plate had Alfred E. Newman on it.[

This thread is as good a reason as any to join this group. Although, I was hooked with the Union thread.

The Stimilon Motocross Challenge is really a ton of fun. It is either a lot of motocross interspersed with parties, or a lot of parties interspersed with a lot of motocross. Either way, it's a lot more riding than your typical weekend at the races. Plus, there's parties.
Sean and I ran the event at Jolly Roger (a lovely natural terrain facility in Lemster, NH) back in 2001. I was on a 1987 KDX200 in Headlight and Never-Ever class. Last year I rode my 2001 Gas Gas xc300 at Southwick. I was glad to have all 300cc in that power-robbing sand. Southwick is one of the nicest surfaces I've ever twisted a grip on - perfect sand everywhere, all the way around.

It is good news for us all that Olcott uses his genius for good and not evil. The 2stroke classes are genius, the never-ever class is genius, the headlight class is genius. Race Saturday, party Saturday night, practice on Sunday - genius. It is a weekend that's all about fun. And since it's not part of a points series, nobody's taking anything excessively seriously. There's some purse money, though. And I've noticed there's some seriously fast folks here. Somebody who likes a party should come make it more interesting for Dowd. It was really cool watching him show us how it's done right after coming off the track. "That's what I'm doing wrong. I just need to be a little more aggressive." LOL. He was tearing it up out there.

Last year I rode in Headlight class and Brittle 40C. This year I'm signed up in Headlight and Decrepit 45.

I can not guarantee the part in the Vimeo clip about getting laid (unless you are female, in which case I may be able to help you out. Please send photos).Evil

sign up now. The open riding on Sunday is limited availability.

BTW, I need a tire sponsor with a nice 18" sand tire

Hope to see you there.

I raced that first one at Jolly! It was crazy! I also photographed the one last year. It sure was fun at night!
