Where is the outrage???!!!! Toyota put a guy with tats and used the word gay in an interview, in a commercial on national TV? This is not what big business is all about!! They want clean cut and no tattoos to put in their commercials...

There you have it I was going to buy a Toyota, but not now....

Hmmm.....I guessing that you're joking....right?

Everyone should be pumped that one of our own is in a national commercial campaign. Hopefully, Toyota will hear positive feedback from this commercial. Then maybe "big business" will choose MX/SX personalities in the future as well.

This the Toyota four runner commercial? I thought it was pretty good. Would have been better if he busted out the finish line jump. haha

Of course I was joking..

Goes back to the X Games threads and Deegan and Josh Hansen. Bunch of talk from guys who claimed to know what type of guys outside sponsors wanted.. Guys couldn't grasp why outside sponsors would want to sponsor those guys with the tats..

Grant is as outspoken as it gets, and he gets the national commercial?? Guess some guessed wrong about what outside sponsors are looking for??

OK, I thought so. You never know. I guess if I knew the background to the X Games talk, I would have figured it out.

You are right, it's not only the "clean cut" guys that are sought to pimp the products.

I'm not too fond of Toyota, but I'm all for a company that takes a stance on something and doesn't turn soft to appease special interest groups or be politically correct. That being said, I thought it was a pretty interesting commercial. Maybe Toyota has a better understanding for their target audience than we would have guessed.

As soon as a domestic makes a truck/suv that doesn't depreciate 30-40% the second I drive it off the lot, I will come back. I have lost my shirt on my last 4 GM vehicles. Two had tranny problems at around 40K (that GM would not even consider covering) and 2 were driven 4 years and worth nothing on resale and/or trade! Drove an '02 4Runner 100k miles and sold it last year for close to $15K! If it was a Jimmy or Trailblazer I would have been lucky to get $2K. Have a 2008 Tundra w/no problems (knock on wood!).

My last truck was a Toyota. My current truck is a Toyota. My guess is that my next one will be a Toyota, too.
