I've been thinking about oklahoma and the fox fifty since I read about the article on racerx. Who do yiunthink should be on. The list... I'd love to see myself on it but I'm afraid it will fill up too fast.
Here are my picks:
1. Robbie Reynard
2. Guy Cooper
3. Trey Canard
4. Johnny Marley
5. Cliff Palmer
6. Chase Reed
9. Jake Martin
10. Hell I gotta throw myself on there jar for fun! The good ol #145 of J.W. Patton (crowd goes wild)
I purposely left off people like flyin Hawaiian and Kenny bartram

just come to mind right now
"you have to squeeze trey jorski and clay hoenshell in there somewhere."
Gawd, forgot the legend of Whisperin Smith and Chuck C. Thanks!
Robbie Reynard
Johnny Marley
hands down...
Clifford Adonpte (i can never spell his name), Homer Woolslayer......
Pit Row
Oh yeah, he's from Texas.
Robbie will now forever hold that title for being the youngest rider to win a pro national with the new age change.
Robbie did win over a 100 amatuer nationals in his time...he wasn't slow by any means....just seemed to always find the whole in the track or bump that hit him just right to cause one of his many freak injuries!!!
Eddie Hicks
Jim Redwine
I am sure I can think of more later.... :-)
Robbie has nothing to be ashamed of, his contributions to the sport will stand on their own merit. Like I said earlier, Robbie's amateur career was as good as it gets and his accomplishments in the pros will remain forever. And that doesn't even count the good guy part and having one of the nicest mx families backing you.
Kenny hasn't always been a freestyle guy.. He made many 125 mains and even got 10th at St Louis in 2000 I believe it was.
The brothers, Mark and Zach Blackwell were pretty dang fast.
I like that Jim Redwine was mentioned too. He did win the +70 expert class at the vet nationals this year. He's one awesome guy too!
Good to add Eubanks!
I concur with the comment on Shoemake for raw speed, that guy could haul the mail.
I got to see RR school the boys big time at Millville once in the 125s. He put it to Lamson when Lamson was the man.
Jorski has to make the list. I have seen that guy win 12 motos in a weekend. No goggles, Tshirt, clapped out KXs. The rent was due so somebody was gonna get hurt.
Babblin Bob from 59th gets an honorable mention as the best announcer from OK. "Into the north berm turn, down the power pull straight, who's got the power? It's Trey Jorski, Oklahoma's 125cc state champion"
Howard and Jean Musgrove get a mention for promoting. I remember the Saturday 20 minute motos at Interstate Raceway. That place was brutal the first few years it was in business.
Then there's Alvin Meyers, Pooder Hopkins, Kent Goff and his buddy, I can't remember his name though.
