No Way! That was a horrible track built on a drag strip and it was like 30 friggin degrees! Many riders talked about how bad it was.

Im a little bias becuase it would be close to me, but come on, the Washington DC/Baltimore area would bring a massive turnout! 4 stadiums to choose from with FedEX Field, M&T Bank Stadium, Nationals Park, and Camden Yards which would be an awesome place for a SX. This time of the year its always in the 60/70s and sometimes in the 80s.

Having said that the track sucked and wasn't a lot of fun to watch. Had it been a mud fest like Daytona 2 yrs ago then it would have been somewhat entertaining to watch the guys duck walk their bikes through the whoops.
I thought it was an awesome race to watch........ you had no idea who was gonna finish in what position..... or if they were even gonna make it through the whoops the next lap... and while there was a lot of crashing, the crashes happened at lower speeds and into nice soft terra firma.... didn't see any huge injuries out of any of them, unlike STL... might have been the safest track they've raced on this year......

enough of the pussification of America..... geezzusss..... why don't they just race on astro turf or pavement if you don't like mud or ruts......

Axe seattle, return to Pontiac, spread out the Anaheims.

Pontiac/Detroit and Minneapolis seem like they are past their run; Ford Field being a supposed ghetto, Pontiac Stadium with an unclear future, and Minneapolis didn't have the highest turnout in it's last chance I recall. So to feel the Northern Midwest need, why not this venue?
miller park would make too much sense a city just as big as seattle, jacksonville and probably st louis. this goes along with being only 3 4 hours from minneapolis and hour and a half from chicago. would probably bring in fans from michigan too.

Looked like the same dirt they used when we raced there in 1979, Bob...just at a different stadium. It was a rutted mofo of a track back then. I remember Butch Lee saying that the dirt had been dredged up from the bay or some shit. But we all raced it and we were happy to do it. Since when did you become such a pussy?

I thought the track last night was awesome and it gave riders a chance to shine that know how to navigate those kinds of ruts. Magoo would have destroyed that place! He used to take lines that blew my mind when I'd race with him at those shithole tracks up in NorCal that you loved so much. I remember being behind him in practice and seeing him square off a turn and go directly across the foot deep ruts in a turn at a 45 degree angle...wide open in 4th gear on his Maico. I just thought, "what the fuck was that!", and put my head down to avoid the roost.

I didn't hear any of the riders last night whining...why the fuck are you?

I wish they were all like that!

Definitely separated the men from the boys!

I loved it and I thought it was actually safer than normal because of the slower speeds yet still challenging as hell.

So I can see you side with mxsports who feels it is necessary to have little or no races in the west or northwest. Why should the South have everything? That is crap. And the dirt in the north west is bitchen. Why don't you visit Horn rapids or wahougal. You will never see the So-cal hard pack there.

Yea, I was just being sarcastic. A springtime outdoor night race here is a crap shoot. We rented a skybox for that race so we wouldn't have to worry about the weather but it was a dumb idea to have it outdoors. The NHRA races here every June and it seems like they hardly ever run without at least one day of rain.
