I don't know anyone with a 144 and am curious. Is the engine pipey like a 125 motocrosser or smooth like a 200 woods bike?

Do a quick search on here. Jesse Williams put mine on a dyno stock, with a cone pipe, and with the pipe and ported.

t-fish I saw that post, thanks. looking at that graph isn't the same thing as riding one!

I met her at ICR a year ago. Durhamtown and HP are long drives for me so I don't go to either very often. I was only kidding about HP this weekend unless someone is in a very giving mood and wants to by me a new KTM. <img class= " title="Smile"> I've ridden both once and HP has lots more hills to go up and down. DP is mostly flat, not very scenic IMHO.

I've had a chance to ride 2 different 144 KTM's

The oem KTM 144SX, and a 125SX with a 144 kit.
Neither were like a woods bike, but they were tuned for Moto.

The oem 144SX feels like more like a 250, the 144 kit felt like a 125 with more torque.

Dave Eropkin just picked up a KTM 144 last week, not sure how often he checks the board here though...

Oh okay, I wasn't aware you saw that thread. I can give you my thoughts on it, which really might me worthless. I only had 5.9 hours on the bike when I took it to Jesse and I haven't picked it up yet, and I haven't been able to ride it outdoors yet. I've been restricted to the confines of an Arenacross track so far.

The power, in my opinion, feels very little like a 125. It seems to have a shit ton of torque for such a small bore bike. I came off of an '05 YZ125 that PC ported and that thing wouldn't recognize bottom end if it was married to it.
