2004 Honda CR 250R

Just joined this group as I am getting back into moto.  I had been riding track-days on the CBR for a number of years and now that I have two sons, I wanted to get back into dirtbikes so I can share the enjoyment of motorcycles with them.  

I started riding dirbikes when I was 8 and never had new/good equipment, just whatever I could find on the cheap until I was in the military.  Bought my first brand new bike in 2004, which was what I had always wanted - a CR 250.  Did a little of bit of engine work and had the suspension serviced (not re-valved) and raced until 2008.  I ended up selling the bike to one of my friends in 2009 for dirt cheap, as it was just sitting in the back of the garage rotting away, as my career was taking off. 

Fast forward to 2023, my friend called me to ask if I would like to buy the bike from him - of course and at the same price I sold it to him for.  He literally rode the bike 14-15 times in the 14 years he owned it, and all he did was change the oil, clean the air filter, and put gas in the bike.....same tires that I had put on it in 2008 are still on it....hard as hockey pucks.  

Needless to say, I bought the bike back (w/ title) for less than he purchased it and now its time to get it back into racing condition.
