I am meeting Hoppy and B (Mrs Worm) at Downtown Disney tonight, then going to road racing in Homestead tomorrow.

Id love to go see the TBARA sprints. Would love to compare setup notes with those guys, looks like they are using coil-overs and us dirt guys all use torsion bars.

Did you read the post from this site? Some are pretty funny and are poking fun at RC. It's got to be a lot of pressure on RC having to live up to a reputation that was created in a totally different form of racing.

I have seen both kinds of suspention on the wing sprint cars, I think some guys run the same car on both dirt and asphalt. Anyone out that relly wants to see some cool racing and speed go watch these guys on asphalt, there corner speed is unreal.

Looks like I'll be there Wednesday.

Sammy Swindell ran a coil-over Gambler chassis (Hooters sponsored) in the WoO series back in the mid/early 90s, but since then I havent seen anyone go near that set up again on dirt. At least not on the typical 87/40 dirt chassis. Its hard to beat the usual 30" torsion bar.

Whatever happened to that deal he had with Bobby Ginn Racing?

no doubt it's different racing...but, RC has always put himself in the line of fire. Win or not, he can handle the pressure. I think he will win in the long run. RC just wants to accelerate the process by going for the top every time he touches the wheel.

Ginn Racing got bought up, and I'd think that the team that Ricky is either working with or talking with (last report was DEI, right?) is the one actually leasing the car......

I am pretty sure DEI took over most of Ginns operations/drivers [RC being one of them]. There was an announcment regarding this issue about 2-3 months ago on ESPN.

Ginn was bought out by DEI, yesterday they announced Mark Martin now will drive the #8 car in Nascar this year.
