I'll worry about what I damn well please at my own volition.

Stewart stated his intentions some time ago. This won't ever amount to anymore than bench scheduling.

I'm pretty sure he's been flyin' "private" to a few races/events this year...

Frontin' or not.

If James wanted to race bad enough he would go in a box van and still smoke everyone...
The game of racing for James ain't as fun without a pot of gold tied to it. It's like going to Vegas and playing Blackjack in your room.

looks like there is plenty of money to be made if he actually wanted race. http://www.motocrossactionmag.com/ME2/dirmod.asp?sid=&nm=&type=news&mod=News&mid=9A02E3B96F2A415ABC72CB5F516B4C10&tier=3&nid=1C7E3F0C636E43B896908FD96F7C3587 bottom line to me is, he doesn't want to race...

2.2 mil doesn't even take into account sponsor money. The money is there and its hard to believe he doesn't take the opportunity to start his own team and contest the title.

You think that 23,000.00 a race is worth Bubba fronting his own team and paying all the expenses to run a team with Semis, Fuel, Semi Insurance, food, Lodging, Air travel, Bikes, Parts etc......????

Get a clue dude! That wouldn't pay him squat. It would cost him money even if he went 1-1 for all 24 motos!

dude read the article before you comment and look like a total douche. 2.2 mil in 2008 were his winning from the outdoor title and that doesn't even include sponser money.

Yes, but he got Championship bonuses from KAWASAKI dumbass! 23,000 X12 doesn't equal 2.2 Million!! He doesn't or WON'T have Factory support from Yamaha if he races this year! He was also under contract with his sponsors then to race ALL year. He doesn't have that now. He is paid by his sponsors for a SX only deal. His sponsors won't or do not have to pay him squat with his current contracts for the Outdoors.

Now who's the douche??

Idiot!!

Your still the douche, cause he would still have the contingency money which was still more than 1.2 mil......And I bet he would still get the mil on top from any manufacturer he decided to ride for.

We do expect you to maintain at least a reasonable level of civility. Treat others the way you want to be treated. Don’t post things that you wouldn’t say when face-to-face with another person. So name calling, insults, and personal attacks are lame. So is keyboard bravery. We’d like the activity to be more like Bourbon Street at 2:00AM, not downtown Baghdad at 2:00AM. This stuff should be fun for everyone, not painful.

That 23,000 included all the contingency money James would get. If you HAD READ you would have noticed that they said "Full Factory" riders do their own PRIVATE deals that could earn them 103,000 a weekend through their Teams and do not take the AMA Contingency mpney. The AMA Contigency Money is the ONLY option James has. He doesn't have a "Full Factory" ride for the Nationals. Nor could he get one if Yamaha doesn't it allow it because James is under contract with San Manuel and Yamaha through September of 2010 for SX only. He can't just go out and do what he wants. He has contracts he has to answer to and could be sued if he broke any of them.

Funny how you accused me of not reading!

Oh and I am sure Yamaha would tell James, no we don't want you riding the outdoor nationals cause you might win the title and we don't want a title cause we dont want to pay you the factory the "full factory" contingency money. I forgot that yamaha isn't into winning races and titles. The excuses you are making are really getting lame. There is millions of dollars on the table if james wants to take them. As everyone has said, he is the only one stopping himself from racing.

No, you're being ignorant of the "Open-ended' aspects of a contract that allow for "Coverage" of other events...like last year's X-Games.

Because your an ass.
