Rear holeshot device? What happened?

Gotta try one man. I understand your thought process there but i definitely dont feel like im giving up anything. In fact most of mt buddies i race with tell me im cheating for using one lol.. I went from getting smoked on starts by some real goons to putting one on my crf and rippin starts left and right. First race start i did was at red bud vet fest a few years ago. I was bike lengths out half way down and did an AP fist pump because i couldn't believe it. 

I think the real root cause we don’t see more of them is the same reason several companies changed from a plunger design that’s worked for decades…

I thought the rear wasn’t super critical, but tried with and without after a friend of mine was swearing by it and I’m sold. Like Donk alluded to, the more “perfect” the gate is, the better it works. So if you go to a race that’s got grates it’s a huge help.
