Seen this in Philly.
Is this something teams will typically use when trying to figure out suspension settings?

Yes, early in the season it’s common to spot sensors both front and rear, and a o2 sensor on the pipe.
During the season those things often get removed.
I noticed it on for qualifying and was later removed
KTM runs it almost every week in qualifying, has for years. Kawasaki runs suspension data at all times, it's just a much more low-key system that you won't notice.

probably trying to put some objective data behind sextons subjective reports to a) keep him honest and b) keep the techs from going crazy chasing their tails.
They are all in trouble when he gets the Rough Country in there…
It’s a string style potentiometer. Data can give them shaft speeds for comp and reb, average positions, max position and ect. They can also look at parts of the track in open air stadiums with GPS. Very helpful to set up a balanced bike or confirm direction from a rider.
The data is only as good as the person reading it.
