I got to meet Simx and his son, really cool folks. Simx is a big fella, glad i haven't started nothing with him, lol, at least i think i haven't he didn't whup me so that's cool. His Son is a B class rider, pretty fast. I took a ton of low quality pics, the track was perfect, no dust, sticky, plenty of lines. Who ever did the work on it today did a great job, all the jumps are as safe as you want them to be. I will add some pics to the thread shortly...
The track was as awesome as everyone had told us.
Sounded like Crash was coming out of retirement tomorrow also. I'll try and get some pics.

Great viewing for a GP or Nat, I noticed the roads going in to the Mountain were fresh paved and they made them wider, hmmm.

What is this focus you speak of?
Finish line jump, guessing distance 60 or 70' foot table at top.
[img:60s4chk8]http://i30.photobucket.com/albums/c301/crash82/Photo_020208_018.jpg[/im…]
You land finish make a good size 180 turn and come back up hill to another table 60 or 70' foot I guess.
[img:60s4chk8]http://i30.photobucket.com/albums/c301/crash82/Photo_020208_051.jpg[/im…]
This is the landing from previous table, you can go 100 or more feet easy if you wish.
[img:60s4chk8]http://i30.photobucket.com/albums/c301/crash82/Photo_020208_053.jpg[/im…]
The two tables i just showed, right is the finish, left is the landing on the other one.
[img:60s4chk8]http://i30.photobucket.com/albums/c301/crash82/Photo_020208_054.jpg[/im…]
You land the table, come down the hill, hit a small double, then this cool step up to table.

the straight heading for the stairway..

Notice the big rocks at the bottom of the last pic, the 450's kick these bad boys up and when you are going up hills it tends to make them line up with your head really good, this is a man's track, lol. You ready Huck?
One more, this sweeper is after you come off the hill with the stairway, great place to pass.

Conditions were perfect today, no dust, it looked sticky plenty of traction. I didn't go to the race last time, but if dust was the problem, then i guess it was because of the drought. I noticed electrical and water hookups today as well as spickets and hoses scattered around the track, were these there at the begining of the year? They looked new. Lots of dirt being moved around and money going into track, makes me wonder whos gettting the GP/Nat? Anyone heard anything? Just sayin.
Muddy Creek was a damn SX for the last regional I attended there.

MC sucks IMO.
The dude was cool, he was probably tired of me spilling my vast moto knowledge, lol, the pit bike track was really cool looking. It was cool seeing all the old gang, I think that was the best part of the day, that a the few 2 stroke i heard, the 2's sound like bees, the 4's sound like elephants and shake the ground, I walked a piece of the vintage track and over there you could really feel the difference in the sound, it's like the diference between a stereo with a subwoofer and without a subwoofer. No one cared about car stereos being loud until everyone started running subs. I never been to Muddy Creek.
Work on the pit area and road coming in and it'd be national worthy
