I see very vague language and I think we’d do well to be very cautious when lawyers are intentionally vague and seem to have an agenda. 

I haven’t forgotten the cases where it turns out the falsely accused were the actual victims. Our current legal environment is ripe for “victim-hood” so much so that it’s going out of its way to create them.

It seems like a huge, important aspect of the accused to defend himself has been removed. I am speaking about the right to face one's accuser. I don't care so much about the "trauma" to the accuser if the accused gets railroaded for a crime he did not commit.

In (most) cases wherein the crime actually happened, I feel sorry for the victim if he or she is traumatized for having to stand up to the perpetrator. However, that is part of being brave and doing what is right.

In a wider scope, I am very much worried for the future of this country as our basic rights are getting eroded, piece by piece. Soon it may be illegal to defend one's self at all, and an accusation will be tantamount to a conviction.
