Is it just me or did CBS air heat 2 before heat one? I remember they've done it before in the past.

I just don't see what the point is to flip the heat races.

Showing a lot of shit no one cares about instead of showing racing.

They started out showing heat 2, then a San Manuel segment, then highlights of Heat 1, then a segment on Dunlop. Only about 8 minutes of racing in the 25 minutes that its been on so far.

EEEHAAAAWWWWW!!! Let's just go straight to the checkered flag and fill all the extra time with human interest "bits".

It's easy on the play-by-play team too. Forget everything that makes this a race event and all the back-story. Just babble for 20 minutes.

This is how every CBS supercross broadcast is.

My wife and I were talking about the coverage. She just pointed out it made her more interested, she doesn't watch usually. She also noted it is good for attracting sponsors, for us that want to see the racing it is lame but that is the evolution that is going on.

Yeah...my son pulled the holeshot in heat 1 and Ralph said it was #149 instead of #140.He went backwards from there but still a great start on a stock machine.I don't know why they showed heat 2 first.Don't think I have ever seen that before either.

It gave her more of a connection to the riders with the fluff. She isn't a fan of just watching the bikes. She also was a teen going to MX during the day, in the early 70s. The cool guys from her HS surfed and were into Moto or reversed. The TV people are trying to broaden the base viewer.

I see. I'm just not a fan of the CBS broadcast always being a infomercial.

Canard/Windham was classic, but they totally neglected all the shit that went down at the front as Villo's 5-7 sec advantage shrunk to just over a second. Dungey was riding his ass off with the top step in sight. Villo was protecting what was left of his lead...

It didn't even get mentioned.

The 250 class coverage is better for normal fans, they show the heats and main. That is what I want to see.

What race are you talking about? RV2 was cruising the last 5 laps with a 8 second lead
and won by 6 seconds, which in SX is a eternity. Your right about the Canard/Windham
race. There was no excitement up front so they show the races in the back. Villo got
the start and checked out, they never showed him again until lap 9.

What are you talking about. RV2 won the main by 6 seconds. At no point did it shrink to 1 sec.

Edit: I didn't notice you handled this already Uncle..

so you'd rather see two guys running around by themselves, instead of good racing? Dungey wasn't even close. I think CBS definitely showed the right battle.
