Is this the last Factory 2 stroke 250 being raced?

I would imagine that Charlie Mullins will be on a RM250 for '08 in GNCC racing.

What is going on inside that ignition cover and those new cases?
I know thats not production stuff.

aren't the Yamaha woods guys on two stokes still. I doubt either them or the Suzuki guys are on full factory( or what ever passes for factory bikes these days) bikes, though

I cant say for certain, but would bet Mullins will have a Factory bike.

Some of the '08 KTM MXCs are electric start, and I think that's one.

That level seat/tank tranfer; the ignition cover having some extra covering above the normal round cover. ????
I have to say that bike looks REAL sweet, narrow, flat, more American like.
Thanks Larry for the pics. I hope they bring in the EFI sooner than later and this maybe the first step. Who really knows.

No, unfortunately I just found out the EXC model had a electric start as an option, so thats all that cover is for.
The 250SX doesn't have any of that, but its the same basic motor.

Nice pics. We were in Sumter too. The whoops really kicked my butt in the afternoon section. That bike really looked nice. Those are production style covers and cases. Some of my buds have the same bike. Some also have the 300XCW-E for electric start. They really like the lazyness of cranking it over after a fall on an uphill, especially the guys with the short legs.

No electric start on that one. don't need E start on 205lb 2 strokes but you better be in good shape to race it " title="Smile">[/quote:3bkb3bwz]


Look a little closer. Of course you don't need it, but hey, its nice to have.
