accountability from AMA or his boss is what I meant. It's not his first time for this, and it won't be his last

Who is Barcia’s boss cause he’s got contract extensions and long hair blowing in the spring breeze.  At least no one intimidates him.  The AMA ran out of pink penalty slips with the jumping on the cross flag while Friese was hanging out by the finish line waiting for a new way to make friends.

No where in that statement did he say anything about not riding like that or not doing it again, which I’m thankful for as that was my favorite moment of the year so far. I’m going to Foxborough and I reallyyyyy wanna see Jett hit the dirt in person so I’m glad they’re both good to go for next race!Tongue

I'm  shocked at how many people still think Barcia was going to launch off the berm.

Its just a racing incident. I'd say this was more like 49% Jett and 51% Barcia. Only because Barcia had Jett in his line of sight.

Not to swing off the sack but did anyone catch Jett’s short comments to LeBig? Don’t understand how people can dislike this kid, I get moto media shoves him down your throat but the level of maturity he’s accomplished from round 1 to now is impressive.

Its his Taylor Swift-like childish followers and the media. They have to show him and talk about him instead of just letting his riding do the talking.

It was clearly not intentional. Both riders did things the other did not expect. Thankful Jett is okay and has an extra week of recovery.

I get that, I don’t understand why some moto “fans” find one guy to absolutely obsess over. The same goes for the Deegan fans. I like all these dudes and think they are gnarly for what they do. Am I rooting for one guy to win the championship? Yes, but if he doesn’t it doesn’t affect my daily life.

People absolutely shit on Jett when the whole thing with Anderson went down, the kid clearly has some good guidance and very rarely repeats the same mistakes. Like he said to LeBig “we were both in the wrong place at the wrong time, it sucks but it is what it is”, and like Filthy said on Pulp last night, most dudes at this point in a championship would’ve blown up over an incident like that.

As for my opinion on it, total racing incident, shit happens, everyone has a nice break now to recoup.

News flash.    It isn't Jett people don't like.    It's the psychotic/delusional fans that's the problem.   What's shocking is that that it's so many grown men.   There is also the  over-saturation coverage of Jett that's been completely out of control.   That's not the kids fault either.

The kid's made some dumb mistakes, but there's no reason to dislike him.     EDIT:   just saw your other post....  yeah, I was tough on Jett over the Ando incident.

Kudos to you for being able to admit it though. I wasn’t too fond of the incident, and I like Jett as a rider but in Ando’s defense they were racing for a position, it wasn’t like Jett was trying to lap him. Glad to see Jett mature from it, I think he handled the Barcia incident very well.

I do get how fans can turn other fans against a rider, I think Jett is a phenomenal rider but I would never label him as the next GOAT or King. Only time and statistics will tell where he falls among the greats, if at all, granted he has a relatively injury free career. It’s the same for me as when people say Deegan will wax Jett when he moves up to 450’s. We have no idea what will happen, same can be said about Jett’s career.

Jett is coming in expecting to beat everyone who have dedicated their whole lives to it and him already putting in some rides making them wonder if they will ever win again.  When else in history were there a group of riders #1-18 who already have championships dealing with a rider who can find something to easily pass you.  It could be a bit embarrassing and humiliating if no one has beat you like that before and wondering if it will be the same issue next week no matter how you train with Jett 1-2 seconds faster per lap.

Stew was the fastest man on the planet with lots of wins as a prodigy but we didn’t hate him.  What’s the difference?

Is “beating everyone” and “winning” the same thing?

Ricky “hated losing”

Stew “would die trying to win”

You aren't wrong about the over saturation on the broadcast, I don't think anyone would disagree with that.

However, can you please give an example of "It's the psychotic/delusional fans that's the problem.   What's shocking is that that it's so many grown men."

Are you seeing that here?  On other social media?  Where is this at?

This 'psychotic fans' thing is just his excuse.  I can't be bothered going through his posts but I'm certain they'd be a lot of anti-Jett comments that have nothing to do with his fans, including the stuff to do with JA (which he admits to). He doesn't like Jett and will use anything he can get his hands on to rationalize this. It's bizarre to have a problem with a rider because of what his fans do.  I couldn't give a shite about what a rider's fans do, it has nothing to do with the rider.  And the thing about Jett fans being delusional is absurd and not based on fact. People are fans of Jett because he is demonstrably an amazing rider.  Aside from the fact that anyone who knows the sport can see this with their own eyes, the facts - yes, facts - speak for themselves - titles, wins, lap times, segment times.
