I wasn’t thinking about religion to sell bikes or podium speeches but glad this fan’s experience helped him find the sport in whatever way that may be. His own path is worth appreciating and that he is testimony of the Deegans being good dudes which he thinks thanking god was not out of character and it wasn’t god that won the race and also wishing he thanked god more not because the racing is about god but because it may be part of Deegs life or things that inspire him.
In high school the salutatorian at my graduation could have thanked god helping her through school as a presences but instead she went on this rant about trying to convert people like they had to be a part of her religion too or else they’d end up in hell before the speech was over which should have lowered her GPA to 3.99 and college entrance exams. To just be appreciative is ok and a lot of people consider god a personal business even though you may go to a church filled with a 100+ people talking about god openly and encouraging it to be a part of their daily lives and to encourage others to be more faithful or find god too as a positive presence more than a used car dealer.
I love this pic. I think i saw it on ebay with less resolution as a poster and I think RV had the steer with the rear idea totally in control and finger on the clutch and Stewart not even able to get caught up with roost. That’s no wheelie but charge-racing out of a corner. Goggles mirrored out. I’d buy this.
Bonus RV has a brain and spinal cord being smart with a neck brace.

How did you get the eli champion poster? Thats really cool and didn't know those were handed out.
Those are all good posters…did you have to stand in line for a long time or buy them? Notice how their backs are arched instead of today’s riders more upright. I didn’t know Lusk could Nac Nac. Dowd looks like he is ready to come up short, and Albertyn forgot his wallet. I’ve seen old school riders do that ricky pose. And that one with McGrath’s leg half off is a half Nac better put it back on. Hard to believe his real nac nac was in the air. Emig did a real scrub into the ground. Ricky flew with the birds. Ferry wasn’t holding on with his legs. Pedro Gonzales had a poster like Larocco. Hughes had some shifter help on his boot.
Stood in line for all of them! Of course things were different back then and not as crowded in the pits like they are now.

Lets see what you got but those are the best so far as nice wallpaper. A lot of people don’t hold onto them as dumbasses. They are also limited to buy cause they are usually already on walls. I waited in line a long time for the few i got but was a goldmine of riders signing altogether in 96 Southwick including Hannah, Lamson, MC, Huffman, Henry, and me.
Was thumbing through social media, and a buddy who is an estate seller had posted this photo, and I instantly spotted the jersey and had to have it!! He's sorta the type that isn't in to big of a hurry for much, so it took awhile to arrange a time to meet and he also let me name my price and at the time I didn't know him all that well, and didn't wanna piss him off, so I threw him a decent number, something like $125-ish, if I recall and he accepted. Sure would've been cooler if the back had "STATEN #63" on it.
And in the upper right is a "Hockies of Torrance" vest...and I sure wish I had the wherewithal to grab that too, as a good friend of mine bought an OSSA from that very shop! If anyone reading this has an old Hockie's OSSA jersey, I'm your huckleberry!

27”x40” poster I’ve had since my Honda shop took it off their wall in 1985.
I don’t mind if it was already signed by the poster manufacturer, reduces arm pump. They should sell a Bailey Bend Handlebar. If 90’s and 2000’s bikes were claimed to be slow, this 500 could keep up.
I have had this since I was 13 or so, I'm 61 now. Hanging in my shop. I used to stare at it and think ''yeah, maybe someday.'' I've had a couple since then.🙂

I thought McGrath was the first to relax and lounge showing he can do whatever he wants on a dirt bike like on the cover of the 1996 Supercross Yearbook shown below. That bike reminds me of the one from the movie “The Dirt Bike Kid”. Below your poster you are all lubed up and ready to go.
