Find one you like on auto trader/cars.com, then pull up the window sticker on the dealers site. You can actually use the ford order tracker with the vin and middle 4 characters of the item # from the window sticker to see if the truck has been built/shipped/delivered. Blue window stickers are dealer orders, I think green are custom orders. Find one that has actually been built and the dealer will let you put a deposit down on it as long as it’s unclaimed. Some dealers do refundable some won’t. I was able to get mine this way. It’s takes a bit of effort for sure. But if you call the dealers most of the time they have no clue when the units are actually supposed to be in.
Yep exactly right, mine was a green sticker custom order from someone who cancelled/backed out but had my exact build I was waiting on anyways. Worked out great in the end. You will find one doing this method 100%

Man I honestly wish it was practical for me to downsize from my F150, because I really like that little thing!
Test drove a Lariat and loved almost everything about it, just doesn't fit what we need out of a truck.

I love plastic rear bumpers 😂🤷🏼‍♂️
As a Maverick owner I never thought "Man, I hope it has a reinforced bumper, I really used that on my Ranger..." What exactly are you using the bumper for? My main complaint is the plastic on the top of the tailgate. Using a ramp (for bikes obviously) scratches the shit out of it. I had to make a small metal plate to keep my ramp on. I do agree there is a lot of plastic on the truck but then again, it was $25k and I get 42mpg no complaints lol.

Got one last Tuesday, 2.0 awd xlt w/luxury package.
Wish I could’ve found a hybrid but this one is pretty sweet. More options than I wanted on a cheap truck but it’s better than driving my diesel everyday. Haven’t thrown any bikes in the bed yet.

I want a Cybertruck and have been saving $ my money but I just don't see it coming to my door until 2025 and that if everything goes right at Tesla. So lately I've been contemplating buying a gas truck. I love the Maverick but I'm actually leaning towards the Ridgeline. The Ridgeline has more space, bigger and longer bed, and the under bed storage which is useful. On top of that it seems like the Mav and Ridgeline are close to the same prices these days (new and used).
Right now, I see the Ridgeline as the better buy. Am I missing anything? How's the driver aid features between the two? Thanks.

What’s your opinion of it so far ?
A buddy of mine just got one. He let me drive it, they are pretty sweet! He hauls his KX250f in it no problem with the gate down. He actually got injured pretty badly at Horn Rapids during the Old Timer Nat a couple weeks ago and my 17 year old son drove it back to Bend 4.5hrs for him. He averaged 32mpg hauling the bike. I made him follow me in my Outlaw motorhome so he didn't drive over 70. I've been thinking about ordering one when they open orders back up. His was $28k with ecoboost XLT package.

Our local Western Powersports Rep has one and loves it. I had to do a double take because I never saw or heard of the truck.

With that said I have contacted the dealer about ordering one for my son. Though we will go with the Hybrid that is supposed to get 46mpg from what's been reported. He said he doesn't care about power only gas mileage.

I have a fairly new RAM and in the Nashville TN area most of the tracks are 1.5 to 2hrs away unless you ride at a local private track. We are dropping $200 on a practice day once you drive there and pay track fee's. Race weekends are now $350 local and $500 - $1000 traveling to a big race.

Hopefully the new truck will help with cash flow and he will be more than happy to trade in his grandmothers Honda HRVSmile

I work at Ford dealer in Glendale AZ (I am commercial account manager) we are selling quite a few of them people seem to really like them interested to see what people on here think. This is a nice topper probably too low for bikes though

I've been looking into one of these as well, this after looking into the Tacoma.

Tacoma is a great truck but way more than I want to pay.

I have had 3 Ford Rangers in the past but the new Ranger is basically the size of an F-150 now which I don't want.

A guy I work with has one of the new Mavericks and absolutely loves it, I'm going to start shopping for one this month.

I purchased new a 2022 Maverick XLT Hybrid 18 months ago. Just turned 20,000 miles today. I am very happy with the truck. Lifetime MPG displays 43.6 overall. Longer hwy. driving yields about 38 mpg. Short local 10-18 mile commute yields in the 50-55 mpg range. Two small programming recalls performed last month by Ford at my residence for free. Zero problems otherwise. The small gas tank capacity of 13.3 gallons still allows a range of 475-575 miles. (6 hours) I do not tow with my Maverick so no comment. Fits two bikes with tailgate down.

I would buy another Maverick and prefer my wife to get one as our second vehicle.

I ditched my lifted 5.3 Sierra for a Lariat Mav back in September, and I have no regrets. The Mav easily hauls two bikes and has saved me a ton on fuel during my 80 mile round trip commute for work. I’ve since lowered it and installed Ford Edge wheels with 265 tires… it rails turns better than my Miata did lol.

I am curious as well. I’m trying to decide between a Maverick, ridgeline or just keeping my crosstrek and harbor freight trailer

Do any of you with these trucks have kids? How do they fit in the back if you do?

I have an almost 2 yr old still in a rear facing seat. Fits fine behind the passenger seat, but it would be tight for me if it had to go behind the driver seat. Should be no problem once the seat is turned around in a couple months. Ironically, the back seat feels bigger than my Chevy Colorado did, but nothing beats a full size truck when it comes to fitting car seats.

I had a Ridgeline previously, and the gas mileage sucked, especially considering it was a "cruck".  The Supercab 4x4 F-150 I have now gets significantly better fuel economy than my Ridgeline did.  If I wasn't towing a trailer, I'd certainly be interested in the Maverick.

Are these still actually going for 35k for an xlt? That’s about what I saw on CL and FB marketplace in the northwest. I’d love to ditch my Tacoma for a Mav is they were actually decently priced but I can’t stomach buying a mini car truck thing for 35k when I bought a brand new Tacoma off the lot for 31 lol.
